[quote=\"Kaydenmama\"]Hi,

agree on disruption and kids feelings, but then again, some kids are highly adaptable to changes. and who knows what if the kid does not like the current sch and is looking forward to change? in any case, dont mention any transfer to the kid until u get the school's vacancy offer.
Yes, that will be very disruptive to the child, esp when sch term has started and the child has begun to adapt to the environment and suddenly you pull him/her out. My child was quite rejected when I pull her out. She told me she already has made friends and was reluctant to change. The child will tend to compare the two different sch....if the new sch doesn't turn out to be as good as the old sch, maybe the food, friends or teachers...they will be very unhappy. For parents, sometimes we don't see these...we only concern how well or how many scorers the sch can produce but the child doesn't look into this. So, we parents, have to think about the feeling of our child too.
just go waitlist first, when the time comes then decide. dont think too much now. the more u think and delay, the later your queue number on the waitlist.
good luck! -

hi,
1. Why should you worry? If the good news comes along, I'm sure you will be more than willing to give up the books and uniforms.ryes:
I'm worried in the case where orientation starts then buy books buy uniforms then scarly the good news comes along.
Also, I'm thinking if put two waitlist at two schs, if my choice school didnt call and the 2nd choice sch call is another dilemma to transfer or carry on waiting.
2. There is no dilemma. If the 2nd choice school calls, you should just take it. Otherwise, it will never call again (and the 1st choice may never call too). Then, you'll be wondering why you never take it.
just to share coz I went through this in 2011 for my boy. I didn't get the school I wanted so I got balloted out in phase 2C. I put on waitlist though. Then I registered at another school in phase 2C supp. Even bought all the uniform and books at second school. In early November, first school called with good news and we did the transfer. So I went back to the second school and returned the uniform, and books and managed to get a refund.
Hope this helps.

Some people got the green copy of the form returned to them. My school did it via plain letter. If u already got your green form back, the school might not send any further confirmation. -
