happyheart, today's oral is over. what needed to be done is done, what's needed to be said is said. i trust that our dc has done his/her best. let's look forward to tomorrow's session. :nunchuk: 明天会更好!My DS said it is a cooking class. he came home looking a little worried because he said the teachers asked him 4 questions for EL picture discussion (prompt?). He said most of his friends have also been asked the same number of questions.
One of his classmates said the picture is about party. He does not think so. -

For MT conversation, they are asked to talk abt a special account which they witnessed about a competition. DD went on to talk about her friend running the 100m race and how she and the rest cheered this girl on and she won first prize. Then DD said the 2 teachers glanced and each other and smiled. Later after the oral, she went to the holding area and found out that the rest also had the same happy conclusion that the person in the conversation won first prize. That's probably why the teachers glanced at each other.
Just wondering:
1) Her account was nothing out of the ordinary - but they ask 'te pie'. She dont know if she's out of point.
2) Second, if all the others give similar happy endings, will her marks be affected?
I know MT oral is over and we should not talk over it but tmr Eng Oral is not over yet. In case same situation happens, then better tell her to think of alternative stories for conversation.
Sometime ago, a sec sch boy took part in a track n field event at inter-school level, tripped over a few hurdles, yet went on to finish the race. If said the above, I think sure score points. -
Last year we speculated, one day will be indoor scene, one day will be outdoor scene based on historical pattern. Not sure if this year will be the same, you all think think ?
At least the Chinese picture and topic is on same theme, last year was unrelated.
2012 day 1 : (Chinese) bus-stop near overhead bridge, jay-walking, (English) Reading corner in classroom
2012 day 2 : (Chinese) old-folks home (English) Charity Fair
2011 day 1 : (Chinese) student's corner in school (English) Classroom scene, fish, rabbit, tortise in cages
2011 day 2 : (Chinese) picking litter by the beach {CIP} (English) Clinic -
