Cherie Hearts
-
Hi Vivan, thanks for your reply and assurance
We would probably send our girl to CCC near Q3 next year. Wanna let her get use to playgroup near my MIL’s place first.
Could share how did you toilet train your son? My 16 month old just won’t use her potty, basically plays with it. -

Hi Winth,
To overcome the problem of water not being topped up, we decided to fill up another bottle and exchanged it when we visit them during our lunch time.
It is also more hygienic. Imagine the food particles in the water bottle when they drank the water after their lunch and still they have to drink the same water till the end of the day!!
Also, I don't like the idea that they poured hot water into the plastic dispensers as this will caused leeching of chemicals into the water. This could cause some serious helath problems, as studies have discovered.
By the way, when your child was at CH HarbourFront, were you allowed to enter the childcare centre to see him/her? Any idea whether CH staff who have children at the centre visit their children during lunch-time. We were told that the staff who have chldren there would not see their children. I am really sceptical about this.
Hello
Yes, i agree what you both talking
actually my son was in SAF (chevron) for around 1 1/2 month, i found
my son really drink very little water. i keep complainging, but still the same.
i also not allow to go in the childcare and only can put my son there and leave the place, until now i still cannot understand well.
and further, my son always have something bite him, and i complaint also not use, i really fed up. -

Hi Jenny Pow,
I can understand your frustration perfectly…For not allowing you to enter the childcare centre, they have a host of reasons for that and I will not repeat what I had mentioned earlier in this thread.
From what I have known, there were several outbreaks (gastric flu, HFMD…) at your child’s centre recently. Just wonder how this happened if they are so "strict" with their procedure. By, the way, is your child still at CH Chevron?
One way that we could make our children drink more water is to remind them everyday. In fact, we tried to drill into them the importance of drinking water, especially when the weather is hot. After a while, they will get the message…but still need to remind them just in case.
Also, when we cannot visit our children during our lunch-time, we will give them each 2 water-bottles and tell them to use the fresh bottle only after their lunch. This will ensure they do not drink from the first bottle with any food remnants from their lunch. -
Thank you kwcllf

just last month have hfmd and 15 cases occurred, and they keep sayng will close anytime, the end overcomed.

Hi Jenny,
Why don’t you try PCF kindergartens? For your info, my 18 month old is now at PCF Queenstown. And I am glad (for I’m there for first 3 days) that I could see their entire procedure. They will make their children sit down for 10-15 mins with waterbottles and instructed to drink water while they wait for lunch break. This happens before lunch, after they come back from outdoor, after nap and playtime activities.
My 18 month old comes home with 1 empty water-bottle everyday. And that is good enuff for me (as compared to when my elder son was with CH). At school, he drinks 8oz of milk too when he wakes up, so that’s water intake too.
PCF is competitively priced with good teachers (but you must also vet the kind of teachers in your child’s class). And they are very strict and goes through schedules. PCF is located island-wide and you might want to see if they are at Telok Blangah area. -
Hi Jenny Pow,
I agree with winth and Queenstown PCF seemed quite structured. I did try enquire last time but did not enrol my children there because they don’t have Before/After School Care…or they don’t have any vacancy left…cannot not remember already.
My children are still at CH and the branch director is not so friendly as we are not afraid to bring out any of their shortcomings to them…
Sometimes, parents are too "busy" or "close one eye" on what is happening. But if don’t ensure that our children are well taken care off, then who will? So far, my children are OK but as I said, we still need to constantly speak to them and find out what they have been doing. This way, we can find out alot of unexpected info. -
Hi eemommy,
I will reply to your PM soon. You could check later. Sorry for the very very late reply as I didn’t get your PM until now. There must be something wrong with the PM function.
