Some teachers set up a network of parents where they can get 2nd hand leotards & skirts from each other, because the kids outgrow their attire so quickly at the "primary" age. 🙂

My DDs skipped the pre-primary and primary level. As I understand, these levels the teacher is able to stay with them inside the studio during exam. Both started taking exam at grade 1 and above.

Honesty, Thanks for being honest ! lol ! got it ! so it’s fine to just go for the grading from grade1 onwards right… i just worry if i skip primary (as i skip pre-primary too)… she may not be exposed to the proper grading routine…but she took up jazz exam this year… next year will too… is it from grade 1 the coaching class will be 6 months too ? really tiring right?

Keke... yes, ususally coaching class is about 2 terms before the exam and some teachers chose to start twice a week lesson right at the beginning for grade 3 & above. The exam ususally takes place at the same studio where your DD is learning her ballet, so other than having an examiner, your DD may have 2 or 3 more friends to take part as a group.

I need some open opinions here…

I have just signed up for ballet for my girl, k2.
She is now under the pre ballet class since she does not have any dancing background.

May I ask if this route is correct…
                    K2- pre ballet
                    P1- pre primary
                    P2- primary
                    P3- grade 1
                    P4- grade 2
                    P5- grade 3
                    P6- grade 4

I understands the rad exam is April yearly.
Does this means, the girls will need a year to practice in order to take the exam to progress to the next grade?

Scgs Dsa requirement is min grade 5. This must be acquired by latest p5 or p6?
If the above route is correct, then does that means there is no way my dd can acquire grade 5 in time for Dsa?

Any other ballet schools that takes in k2 girls, 6 years old in primary ballet without dancing background?
