This encourages cross pollination (since the same flower or flowers on the same plant cannot pollinate itself) which results in greater diversity of offspring.

1)is carrot an underground root or stem?
2)is potato an underground root or stem?
3)is sweet potato an underground root or stem?

is there way to reference I can use? I googled and am quite confused with the answers

            Pl help....

            Hi I believe its (1) A only.
The shape of the magnet X and Y are properties of the magnet itself.
The starting point doesn't matter as long as it starts from before the clip is attracted.
And time shouldn't matter. In any case its not possible to do the experiment at the same time unless we're using different clips.

Could the answer be 2? A and B?

B is because using horse shoe magnet will not be fair as both poles of the horse shoe could have combine effect on the clip.

            do I make sense?

              do I make sense?[/quote]Hi Jedamum,

Yes you make sense. I thought about that too. However, the shape of the magnet X and Y are properties of the magnet X and Y - you would not be able to make them the same shape if they are different. They cannot be controlled for if you're to compare X and Y only.

There are tiny pores on the leaves of a plant called stomata (singular called stoma) where gaseous exchange can occur. Most water loss occurs through the stomata. When the leaves are covered with oil, the stomata are blocked, and water cannot escape from the leaves.
