As long as he is a fast learner, he will stand a good chance.
If the improbable happens, it would have been hypocritical to say we won't consider (then why take the test in the first place?).
But realistically, we can only hope for a result that is decent enough for ds to be considered for some of the sch's niche programmes come P4. -

Why I prepare? I also not the one going for the test.
I oredi can share the outcome ... ds will still be in PH next year lor. I learned the meaning of 一山还比一山高 the day ds got back his first sch exam results.

Mainstream kids almost no chance to get in via DSA, more chance to use PSLE result instead.
As far as I know, this year only 1 boy from PHPPS is on the RI DSA waiting list, no even a single confirmed offer. -

Yes fixed liao ... late Nov to early Dec.

A lot of parents are shocked when their kids got in, that's why in KSP forum you can read that many are initially happy then feel a bit \"lost\". It happens every year. -

There is chance but extremely low. From what I know .. so far for mainstream kids ... apart from Sports/CCA .... thru Academics .... only the top top in \"prominent\" school will get CO.

Part of the reason .... the program is very tough in RI/RGS/NYGH/HCI.
Those who scrapped in \"borderline-ly\" (if there is such a word) struggle to stay a float. So sometimes it is important to get a good fit for our children.
For example, getting 263 ... maybe or maybe not be a good thing to try for the above schools. A lot depends on the child.
So know your child .. discuss with them and choose the right school for them.
There are many ways to Rome. -

Not all 263 are the same. There is no denying that some got it with a lot of external help too...and probably will continue to need that level of help to maintain that standard. Therefore life thereafter will be very diff for those with extensive external help vs those with minimal help. There is chance but extremely low.
