            Dear parents,

Thank you for your great interest in West Spring Primary. We, at West Spring, really feel so encouraged by your positive feedback & support. At the same time, we thank our supportive & enthusiastic parents for helping to publicize the school. We are left with just 38 more vacancies at Phase 3, on 29 August 2013. Please do go to the MOE website to look for the latest vacancies available for Phase 3 registration which will be updated by 28 August 2013, 12 noon. This takes into consideration various factors as there could be some applicants who have yet to secure a place in earlier phases. Detailed information on Phase 3 is available on http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/.

There will be plans to have an Open House sometime next year when the school is fully completed for parents who are interested in enrolling their children at the P1 registration 2014 (for 2015 intake). A chat session will similarly be held to engage potential parents. More details will be provided much later next year.

If you have any queries, please call our Administrative Executive, Mdm Noor at 6284 4967, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Mon to Fri.

I have a concern that there is a lot of construction going on near to the school and there is quite a bit of heavy vehicles moving around the school.Parents have to be careful with their own children road safety especially during school dismissal time(afternoon). Maybe needs some PV to look out for the traffic.

                      Dear Parents,

We’ve come to the end of P1 registration 2014. We’re happy to share that all 7 classes at West Spring Primary have been filled up successfully.
Thank you very much for your strong support.

Due to the over-whelming number of applicants, balloting had to be conducted last Friday where only 20 vacancies were left. We, at West Spring Primary, would like to welcome all new parents and their children to the West Spring family. We wish all parents who’d been balloted out last week the very best in looking for another school for their children.

                      Latest updates :

                      1. We’ve recently met up with the architects and have been informed that the school construction is on schedule. When school opens in Jan 2014, all the heavy vehicles would no longer be present within the school premise. All construction materials would have been cleared from the premises as well. The school would be thoroughly cleaned & checked in December, ready to receive our pioneer batch of pupils.

                      2. We’re happy that the good word of West Spring has spread far and wide. As such, parents residing beyond the Bukit Panjang area and who need transportation services, would be referred to a reliable & experienced bus operator by the end of this month.

                      3. We’re now in the midst of confirming the textbooks, PE attire and other items for sale at the end of November at Zhenghua Secondary School. More details will be provided in due course.

Based on the survey that we conducted amongst parents during the P1 registration, the preferred colour of the school shoes is black. Hence, the black school shoes ( with school crest embossed on the shoe ) will be made available for sale at the end of November. Please do take note there will be white school socks with the school crest & name on sale as well.

                      4. As mentioned earlier, the orientation for the pioneer batch of P1s will be held on the first day of school – 2 Jan 2014. There will also be a briefing session for all parents in the morning on that day. More details will be provided in due course.

                      5. As indicated in the survey carried out during the P1 registration, a number of parents have indicated their interest in enrolling their children in the Student Care Centre (SCC). As such, the school will look into the feasibility of offering such a service. Please do take note that it is still not confirmed that West Spring Primary will be offering SCC as yet as we need to look into many matters before deciding on the set-up of the SCC, prime amongst which would be the engagement of a good & reliable service provider through our tender process. The process would take at least 2 months. We’ll update you once we’ve finalised matters.

If you’ve any other queries, please do contact our Administrative Executive,
Mdm Noor at 6284 4967, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Mon to Fri.

                      Thank you.
