Anyone knows whether the staff of a secondary school can apply for a spot for P1 reg under phase 2A with an affliated primary school?
like SJI to SJI jr or Maris Stella High to Maris Stella Pri -
Based on what I understand from my colleagues at my previous school, as long as I’m a confirmed staff (no longer under MOE), I hv priority registration in all the primary schools under that family of schools. But I don’t know true this is cos I’ve not tried it myself.

If you have any doubts about the registration, it’s best to contact the school directly. I believe the school admin can handle your queries. I was at a loss regarding registration under Phase 2 for my daughter earlier and the school admin replied my emails with all the info I needed.

My friend's song graduated from NYPS, and she told me that NYPS is affiliated to Hwa chong.
Maybe need to confirm further. -
I didn’t know of any affiliation of NYPS and Hwa Chong…I do know that the girls from NYPS can go on to Nanyang Girls but something like extra 2-3 points.
With P1 registration starting in July, I guess parents are going to get kancheong…myself included because I’m going to register daughter in Phase 2A2 and until she is confirmed in the school, then I will feel assured. It’s best to call up the school to ask more. -

NYPS to Hwa chong (boys) -
Boys from St Anthony (Bukit Batok) have affiliation to SJI.
As for IJ, affiliation is different. IJ Kellock/Bukit Timah affiliated to IJ St Teresa. For IJ Toa Payoh, girls will go to IJ TP Secondary. -

Most CHIJ primary schools are affiliated only to their own secondary counterparts, not to other IJ schools in the IJ group of schools, unlike in the \"days of old\"(which is like v long ago). -
I am not aware of the affilation from 'days of old'...I went to IJ Kellock only at P5 in 1983 and then to IJ Toa Payoh in P6 (1st batch of new students using TP premise). IF IJ Bukit Timah (Chestnut Dr) was affiliated to IJ TP Secondary, I will register her there. Unfortunately, it is not to be (under Phase 2C).
