All About Full-Time Maids

Agree, send them back. These black sheep will only cause more headache to their potential employers.
After 3 maids, I learnt not to 'take it down', do 'career pitch', or dangle monetary incentives. If her heart is not with your family, no point. Just let them go.
In fact, IMO, the new hires tend to be more on the ball. Call it honeymoon period or whatever, so long it works!

I tell all my maids to greet good morning and good night, greet guests etc. I think it sets a good example for the kids.moonee:
can you all torelate if your maid did not greet you in the morning?
I dnt like to be greeted by maid in the morning cos my mornings are nevr good so I dnt want them to greet me goodmorning.
I did tell some of my past maids not to greet me but I prefer the maid to say goodnte.
My current Phil maid only greeted in the morning for one month plus. After that, she does not greet at all.... Except on her pay day.
LOl- ur maid is \"smart\".. Btw, just wondering do you greet her as well? I believe in muture respect.. -

Hi All
I had transferred my maid to another employer last 2 weeks and I received a message from her. She was asking me why I never pay her 2 weeks’ salary after completed her 2 years services, any suggestion? If you were me, will you pay her? I mean if you don like her at all, will you pay her? -
Hi its stated in the MOM standard contract between maids & employers that once they finish a 2 year contract with you, either you give a 1 way airfare money or cash for 2 week home leave. I think it applies to even if you transfer her… why dont you call MOM and check.
-
Hi I called to agent, she said no need to pay her as stated in contract.

If she ask from you, and if its stated in contract/MOM law, u have to pay her even if u don't like her. No choice. Think u can check with MOM. Cos sometimes agency don't want trouble and ask u to just pay her.Hi All

Hihi,
I wish to ask if I am planning to send my maid back 1 to 2 months earlier than her contract ends, do I still need to compensate her?
The contract only says 2 weeks notice. But I cant be telling her so early. Provided we all don’t like her and have been tolerating her for a long time. -
I just came back home and check the employment letter. The term said if both parties agreed to renew the contract then employer needs to give her 2 weeks leave or pay. Since we not renewing the contract then why i should pay?
-
BTW i so regret to transfer her out, i should buy a ticket and send her back.
