Yay. Prelims over tomorrow. But now I feel like I'm burnt out. Teachers don't even give a lot of homework...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME!? 😞 (Stress finally setting in...)

I wonder if the schools know how lousy the canteen food is. If our kids stay back once a week it is fine. But if stay back several times a week and eat canteen food all the time, very sianz already. I see the teachers going out of the school to have their lunch and they expect the kids to eat there often?

I used to being home cooked food to my kids but due to circumstances I'm not able to do so. So I wake up earlier and prepare lunch for them. Got a good warmer that could keep food warm for about 6 hours. I'm not a good cook but still better than the canteen's food. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

          Mummies,

Please advise on how you pack warm food for lunch! Ds2 has allergies and I am wondering how to pack food safely for primary school given our warm weather. His current kindy is air conditioned so food safety is not an issue. We can move this to Tuckshop thread if that is better. πŸ™‚

A \"U\" grade will be given for the subject. I understand one needs to pass all 4 subjects. Else have to retake PSLE. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Btw, do you go to school just to deliver the lunch? Today I saw some parents (including fathers) brought lunch for the kids.

yes, guilty of that too. i deliver hot, homecooked lunch to school. can even take special orders. i'd usually pack extra for her best friends. then again, i gotta pick up my younger boy in p4 so on the way ma. πŸ˜„[/quote]You set the bar too high! 😒 😒 😒

Some mummies are spoiling the market 😒

DS said that some of his classmates started to get home cooked meals for lunch on the days they have supplementary. DS asked me to bring him home cooked meals for lunch too until PSLE is over instead of surfing KSPs the whole morning

Come come. Confess here. Who has been bringing their DCs home cooked meals just because PSLE is nearing? :spank: :heresmyfish:
Yes, i used to prepare n pack home cooked lunch for my gal when she was in pri sch....
Not becos of Psle....for most normal days too...becos of the frequency of staying back for supp lessons...
Canteen food in pri sch is unlike sec sch....lack of variety and nutrition...

No need to deliver Hot lah...juz need to put it in a thermos flask lunch box....
It would still be warm by lunch time....

                  Nearing the period of Plse....
My advice to mummies here is NOT to eat out ( if possible ?) as to avoid the risk of getting stamachache or worse food poisoning.....

                    BE. CONTENT. ηŸ₯袳常乐!
You should be happy... At least your class gets let out TWICE in one day. My class doesn't even get let out once every 2 days... And then we slave away and hint that we would like to go out (and of course teacher doesn't get the hint) and then directly state that we would LOOOOOVE to go out and Mrs L. is like, \"I know Resi is out now... But later you fall down and hurt yourself, then tomorrow cannot take exam!!!!!!!\"
Tomorrow is Higher Chinese Paper 2... Not NAPFA. πŸ˜‚

I would like to pack food for DS1 because he does not like the food quality sold in his canteen. However, he declined my offer as he said no classmates do that and he will be embarassed if he brings a lunch box!!

By the way, what are the lunch box that is good to keep for hours, won't spoilt and texture remain as good as just cooked?I can prepare for DS2 who has CCA.
I believe most, if not all thermos flask lunch box will do the job...
Or juz get a good, slim thermos flask to contain the food....
and bring along a disposable plate to empty the contents before comsumption. ( for easier eating)...

Is there a retake of Psle nowadays ?
hmm.. so far, i din hear pple mention abt it before...
There are NA and NT classes in some schs....
for those who are not eligible for Express stream ( less than 188)....
