Maintanence is guided by your standard of living while married and your contribution. So if you are spending $10k a month while married, all paid for by hubby, you can ask for $10k. If you are spending $10k a month but mostly your own money, you cannot ask for $10k.

So cough, don’t stinge too much on yourself.
