Hv u got back ur report book, Nightmares? Do u know ur level mean marks & std deviation? U hv to put those figure in too? I hv not tried this calculation personally as my dd results not back yet, maybe other parents who already know ur DCs result could give a try n let us know whether this calculation works? TIA.

I did it with my SA1 results which I recieved in Term 2, like I said. And I did put those figures. -

Ya I know that, ngl2010.ngl2010:
[quote=\"25hr mama\"]Will the P6 pupils get back their Report Book this Term or next Term? Hopefully, mean marks will be included, so can roughly calculate the T-Score.
How to calculate T-score without standard deviation?
Usually, the school will attached a overall report slip to the report book, which include mean marks, std deviation etc, but not sure they will do the same this time. Chanced upon this link below for easy T-score calculation.

dd got back her report book with the mean/ max/ min/ std deviation for class and level standard, etc... it enable us to compute her estimated t-score based on school cohort.
The end results looks reasonable.
Great to see the principal writing comments for all the P6s. dd compared with a few friends and it appear that the hand written message is not a standard message and everyone has different messages. This will be her last year with the school before she moves to the new school. Wonder if my P5 will get such messages from the new principal next year. -

that's a good school!25hr mama:

Wow. The principal must have written 200+ individual comments :salute:25hr mama:

Nightmares.:
Nightmares, could it be the mean and standard deviation you used are only for GEP students? So, it is very competitive and not the right representation of the 2013 mainstream+GEP cohort?25hr mama:

Hi MMM, did u compute ur dd T-Score manually using ur own formula? Hv u tried doing it using the link I attached earlier. Did u get the same result. Is this T-score calculator accurate or reliable? Thx25hr mama:

Would the SD and Mean be for the GEP students of your school or the entire GEP cohort? More likely your school, which explains the distortion even more.
