I don't remember what's my experience back then as far as I remember it takes 3 months to take effect. And I suggest to treat what's the pain in yourself.

I have heard of CSG at Tampines Building before. Apparently one of the doctors there are good with children.

          HI all

          Sorry, did not provides details.
Chiropractic is for my 7+ boy in Primary 2 now. He recently fell down bakwards and we went for x-ray. Last discovered Mild Scoliosis in left.
We went for physio for a few times treatment was told 15degree curved. And would possible to put on the braces for next 7 years. OMG!!!!
Am totally speechless. We did not and never tot abt this and that extend so serious:( :?: :imdrowning: :?

However, we went for another treatment which this Chiropractic. So wonder how good it is? Posture are really vy impt!!! sigh! How can we stop our children to sit & stand in correct posture. Keep nagggggggg non stop! am gg to be a non stop recorder soon:( 😢

Well, either for BRACES or CHIROPRACTIC are both costly. But there are different in Chiropractic not as suffer. I knew sm of pple while wore the braces and felt very uncomfortable and yet vomitted too. :faint:

          sigh!!

          thanks you all........:D
          Hi

Did you seek for 2nd opinion? Usually they will only recommend the child to wear brace when the degree exceeds 25. I thought 15 degree is still mild, should monitor.

Just to share.. my girl's was 27 degree @ 11yo. At this stage of growth, her degree is likely to increase so she has to put on a brace to control the degree to getting worse.

I have also consulted chiropractor. However after consultation, I dont think it was the best option for my dd.. as mentioned, at 11, she has at least 2-3 years to grow taller, means my chiropractic treatment has to be for the next 2-3 years. It's too time consuming to go 2-3x a week for treatment, hectic for both myself & dd esp she will be P6 next year.. it will be very stressful for both of us..

I decided to go for the soft brace instead @ KK. I was glad I made the right choice. Altho it was tough @ the initial period, dd has adapted of wearing the brace 🙂 and she was very 'motivated' by the results after she put on the brace.. her degree improved from 27 degrees to 11 degree!

her review is every 3mths to check on her brace and do adjustments where necessary..

the good thing of the soft brace is it's not obvious under her normal wear... and she can still do her normal exercise and PE lessons where the hard brace really restrict the movements on the child.

At 7, your son still has a long way for growth esp boys growth only spurt during sec school days..

Yes. my boy was in CSG now…

            which located Tampines CPF building.

However, the progress are super slow. in fact, we as parents really must be patience. Lastly after few 2 months+ was told that my boy does improved on his back sniff but not scoliosis. Scoliosis treatment may need long long time. sob sob sob…

Funny you should mention arc of life, I happen to go there for a consultation as I had what they call artifically straight neck which is cervical lordosis

read more here to see what it ishttp://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-cervical-lordosis.htm

So i consulted Dr Andrew and he explained to me that while mine was not a serious case, it would have the potential to turn into something more major if i don't treat it on the onset.

He did some adjustments to my neck and spine and although the pain is better, i think i still need more sessions to see if it works. I think going to any chiro clinic is good as the other but what i liked in this instance is that he was genuinely concerned about my neck and not interested in making me sign a package so i didn't feel pressure at all.
                thanks for the info. 🆒

My DD1 has been going to chiropractic for adjustments for the past year. She walks with 2 feet pointing inwards and one side was quite bad. After going for 1 yr, her problem has improved a lot. Glad we decide to commit to help her through Chiropractic.

I believed as a parent who are mote educated, we tend to find way to help our children. My child who has also has this posture problem, after going for chiropractic has also improved. If we observe has this problem at young age, it would best to let them go chiropractic. It would be still able to adjust as they are at the growing stage. This is my own opinion and it is subjective for different parent.

My gal has been to Chiropractic First for a year but she only goes there only once a week which is not sufficient as she didn’t have the time to commit. After a year, her curve increases from 14 degree to 35 degree which is very serious. I become very panic. Half a year ago, we had a check-up and the degree maintain. Suddenly, the later half year back, her degree increases tremendously. Doctor at Health Promotion board refers us to NUH Scoliosis specialist. I still have the package signed up with Chiropractic First. Should we continue to go to Chiropractic First more frequently (3times a week) or stop completely and wear braces immediately?

Doctor at Chiropractic First suggest us to go there 3times a week for 3 mths and if doesn’t improve, then start wearing braces. Sigh…I just afraid it may be too late when 3 months down the road. Please help…

I think that it would be wise to go Chiropratic. It really take a period to see result. My boy previously also previously got the back curve slightly now much better.
