Hi,

For English Situational Writing such as formal letter, is it a must to write the sender and recipient's addresses OR just go straight to the salutation? Similarly for email, must they write the sender and recipient's email addresses first? Thanks.
For Formal letter, you have to write both addressess.
For email, DS say they are told to focus on the body,no need to write both addresses.

Does anyone has a different view? pls share.
Oh ya forgot about tt. But very basic lo. Not to the level of algebra discussed here to solve problem sums...

After these few days of working out prob sums with ah boy, I feel that the Units and Parts method can be used in place of algebra. So for a child who did not go for complex algebra coaching, he can consider to adopt the Units and Parts method.

Yup agree. DS uses U&P because we did not teach him to use algebra to solve problem sums ( regret!). Initially, DS was very confused with using this method units and parts, but he has since become better and more confident. The only thing he 'hates' from beginning till now is model drawing! I told him this afternoon that he still need to cradle it for another 3 weeks. After that, model drawing could be out of his life for very very very long!
Haha... Told my boy the same thing too! 'Embrace' model method as you would only have a couple weeks with it, I said. 😂

Yep, agree too. Units and parts is a must-know.

          No need to regret :hugs:

After using U&P for these few days, I think it is as good as algebra.

Today is 15th Sept, still hv many days to PSLE Maths paper.

For those who are still not familiar with U&P method, there is still time to pick up and become good at it.

          Jiayou.
Morning,

It is kind of late to ask but may I know for Science, how much of p3/p4 topics will be tested? Is it necessary to do/revise p3/p4 assessment books? I have upper primary science assessment books (topical revisions which do not cover p3/p4 topics) but not PSLE assessment books. Thanks in advance.

Did u buy the authorised PSLE booklet? This booklet should give you an idea of how much of P3/P4 topics will be tested.

I would strongly encourage the revision of lower pri topics.

His school is using the EPH PSLE exam questions which is usually done & kept in school. I did not buy any other PSLE booklet or exam papers. I asked DS to do the old p3/p4 assessment books but he said no need cos at PSLE level, the questions are set more difficult (for p3/p4 topics)??? :scratchhead:
It's true. The questions in p3/p4 books aren't at same difficulty level as P6 for the same topics...

Has any of your DC practise using questions from P6 ‘Get Me Thinking’? DS has some worksheets from teacher and I find some questions rather challenging. For those who has seen the questions, would PSLE focus so much on that level of difficulty?

I thought those were PSLE-standard questions? I do it in school.
