I am vulnerable like any other man. Insight is half the battle though, and I pray that the good Lord (and my DW's rolling pin) keep me strong against temptation..... -
have you ever encounter when woman really dress up for DH, he got worry...thinking maybe his wife is having marital affairs, actually was the wife dressed up for his sake. when the friends praise his wife, he felt so proud over it. So contradicting....
what is marital affair? i believe unless you caught red handed. if it is not, why think so much! it will make our life so miserable. already got so much works to do such as taking care of children, their academic issue, ensure domestic helper doesnt do anything behind your back, ensure your working life is well control.... so much work.... time management.... balance lifestyle.... wow liew.....
life is so short, why not live happily with the one you chose? why not shower her with loves? lets sing forever love..... forever love... that's what human is looking for.... -
3Boys:
Actually, now that I think about it, if I do dress up, IT IS mainly for the wife, 'coz I don't care what other women think ....8)
..... Reaaaalllli? You won't care what other women think? -
Funz:
I agree that we should take care of our partner's emotions and ego and we should make the effort to fan our partner's flame etc. But I do not agree that that should be a condition for keeping the other party faithful.
Agree.
For me, i say what i reali feel and dun succumb to the teh-ing.. or at least
i try not to. If i see a change i like in him, i'll say it outright. If he does
something sweet for us, i'll say it. If he makes me feel extra special in
bed certain nights, i'll say it. Not to the extent of saying something purely
to fan his ego. You see.. there are men, (some men), who lurve the
fanning of the flame too much till it makes them wanna go out to test waters....
That if they can look good, please their wives, take care of the children...
the once in a while side dish shouldn't so much matter, right? Since his
wife and colleagues has been commenting he looks so good for his age,
that he can swoop any girl off his feet looking boyishly good in his nice
new bod and image, that can and would further boost his ego and make
him feel more man... more desirable... more needed... and his feeling
good makes him happy so he can come back to his woman and family
happy too. Not that he wasn't happy to begin with... just a lil' happier.
Who doesn't want to be immersed in happiness right? Besides, if he
does eat outside once in awhile nia... he won't ever be caught. It's
not like he does it aaalllll the time, right? Most times, even wkends
he's home with his ideal family.Funz:
Yap, it shud be non-negotiable.So long as one accepts that the other party has a role to play to keep him/her faithful, one has given himself/herself the key to stray.
I might sound idealistic or naive but being faithful to your spouse should be non negotiable, non conditional. It is my responsibility to stay faithful to my husband for I have given him my promise when we exchanged our vows.
Idealistic as that may sound... i am that idealistic too.
Or mebbe even at my age and this day and time... i'm still that naive.Funz:
So, if he makes the decision to stray, it's straight away a no-way?I say his happiness is in his own hands. He is the one who makes the decision to stay faithful or to stray. To work through whatever issues we have or to seek solace in another's arms. He makes the decision. If he thinks that his happiness is down the path that says stray then I definitely will not be a part of that.

If hubs took me out for dinner and shared that it's cause he liked theWah, I swim against the tide hor?
I actually don't think there is a difference, so in fact it is indeed splitting hairs. I was pointing out that if someone dressed up for herself and not her husband, it just seemed a little churlish to me. Like, if I took my wife out for dinner and told her, its actually because I like the restaurant but not because I wanted to give her a treat, I'd get 2 black eyes and deservedly so.
Actually, now that I think about it, if I do dress up, IT IS mainly for the wife, 'coz I don't care what other women think ....8)
restaurant or eatery (which he has done so before), i would be especially
happy that he wanted ME to be there to enjoy the place and food with him.
No two ways about that. Him taking me out to eat out is in itself a treat, and
that is already unspoken mah.. ain't it not.
I would think you deserve double hit on both eyes for not telling her the
truth of what you reali think and what you reali feel. I would think for that
statement alone, YOU are teh-ing her to make her feel good instead. -

I particularly liked one of the comments.
\"A little fire at home that warms is better than a fire out there that burns.\"
Unfortunately though, there can be soooo many articles written everywhere
and anywhere and sometimes we even hear of such EMAs going on with our
close friends or relatives, and yet if one still wants to go out and try it out...
they will. -

You are? Hmmmm... i would love to know what makes a man vulnerable...
as you say... like any other man. And since you're one of those men who
have the courage to come into this thread, pray tell..... as usual i like to
hear the honest perspectives from the man's point of view.3Boys:
So... you do have temptations too aye? :evil:Insight is half the battle though, and I pray that the good Lord (and my DW's rolling pin) keep me strong against temptation.....
I know someone who has a trusting wife and
he is also a believer of faith but yet he still
succumbed to temptation.... temptations in
fact. Hurting his wife a lot and straining their
relationship. She's still unsure if staying together
is the right choice for her, cos it's easier said than
done when one says \"let's move on with our life\"..
Half the battle won (with insight) somehow doesn't
seem enough.
