Not all children like Arts. Some may think it is more stressful to draw than to do Maths.

      :rotflmao:

      very true very true.

:rotflmao: Ya, was about to comment on that too. Esp with PSLE so close, it adds to the stress. But your son sure shows leadership abilities in trying to ask teacher's permission to allow them study time. This will allow students who prefer to study to have study time and those who prefer to relax a bit have time to relax. Win-win for all.

        BeContented, icy_mama and ammonite,

Thanks for the input. I spoke to DS about it and he agreed that he will be unhappy if he is in the Arts teacher's shoe. So, he said he will gather his classmates and persuade the Arts teacher to allow them to revise for PSLE during that 2 periods and in exchange they will spend one whole day doing Arts for the Arts teacher after PSLE. I am so relieved now 😓

I think I will use this method in the future. I will ask him to think how to make everybody have a win win situation and have discussions with relevant parties to achieve his objective 😄
:rahrah: Way to go, mama! And way to go, ngl's boy!

True about art being stressful to some. Whenever my nephew has art homework, the entire family is stressed. In the end, they borrowed a simple drawing instruction book for preschoolers from me. 😂

I remembered my cousin once brought back an art homework and she couldn't do it. End up her father and mother drew and colored for her. Whole family was stressed out then.

          hi ammonite, you're a pre-school teacher? 🙂

I guess my family was very 'don't-care'. I was totally hopeless at art, and my parents (one a teacher, one a lecturer) just shrugged their shoulders and didn't help. My teachers used to beg me to 'try to pass'. My kids are better than I am, and they know that no matter how hard they may find any art homework, there's no point asking either parent! My attitude is that if the teacher doesn't like the output, then the teacher has to help, not me. Luckily, they seem to cope better than I did.

Listening Compre may be a breeze for most students but still, do be very careful when choosing the right answer especially for some trick questions. What’s worse is the choice of answers can be pretty close. That’s what happened for last year’s PSLE paper. Quite a number of my DS’s classmates had varied answers for one particular question in both the English and Chinese LCs.

Do listen very carefully and be discerning in tackling the answer choices given. Best of luck to all on your LC.

Hope remedial lessons end today so that kids can have a good rest before the war starts… my girl has been staying up late completing assignments given by her tearchers.

I have a question. When is the last day of school before PSLE?
