      Nebbermind:
      2ppaamm:

ACS is known for good support for kids with special needs, e.g. autism etc. My son has high order autism: gifted and autistic. He will be going to GEP in ACS(P), P4 in 2010. Anyone with experience on how ACS(P) handles such students?

      Care to share?

Did he get a transfer coz of GEP or he's already in ACSP?

I suggest u give a call to Mrs Karen Wong, HOD GEP when the ter startsand see if she can lead to the rght person.

      Hi Nebbermind,

My son was in ACSJ and will be transferring to ACSP for GEP for P4. I will be calling Mrs Wong tomorrow. ACSJ has already done the handover to ACSP, and we will need to meet Mrs Wong to discuss his needs. Thanks for the help!

Do you know what is the school bus arrangement like to GEP kids? Are the hours different from mainstream, and how does the bus handle that?

        Sorry for the late reply.

If I'm not wrong, most GEP classes will end by 4 pm and there'll be schoolbus available for that time slot. Talk to the regular driver and he'll make the necessary arrangement, incl a form to fill up the days affected & $$payment. πŸ˜„

Hi, I have just found out that there is parents’ networking Group for ACSP. My DS is in P3. Does anyone know how are the boys split into the different classes in P3? Thanks.

Yeah, I have been through PSLE 3 times, still in one piece, so don't worry. 99% will end up in ACS again, either in Barker or ACS(I). Both are great schools in their own ways. :celebrate:
