      Hi

Anyone can share how many GEP classes are there in ACS (P) which classes are labled as GEP and which classes are their \"TOP\" class?

2 GEP classes. For P4 this year, the GEP classes are 4I and 4H. I don't know which their \"TOP\" class is though.

          2 GEP classes....4H and 4I.

As for the 'TOP' class, if you are referring to the mainstream classes, that will be 4F...no G class. This class has the most High Ability students and super competitive. Most of the students in this class were expected by their parents to get into GEP but did not make it...so they have something to prove. Just my opinion

I’m thinking of sending my son to either ACS Primary or Nanyang Primary for P1 in 2011. Can I get your opinion as to which is the better school, has the best teachers?

              dear acs primary parents

my husband graduated from acs primary. my question is, to qualify for the earlier phases of the primary one registration exercise:

              1. what evidence is needed to prove that he graduated from acs primary (psle cert? report cards?)

              2. if you did not graduate from the pri school but still attended it (eg p1-3), are you counted under this phase (just curious)?

              3. alumni association: do members of the acs old boys association get priority to get their sons into acs primary? how is this calculated (for eg, you may have gotten into the association by graduating from acjc, but did not actually attend acs primary).

any and all answers appreciated. thanks all!

                1. Report card/book will do. Not sure if the PSLE cert has any indication of the school and other necessary info.

                2. believe that as long as you were a former student from the school, u will qualify for Phase 2A2

                3. in order for u to register under 2A1, u need to be a former student and also a member of its alumni. If u r just a former student from another school in the ACS family, u will not have any such privilege.

the same applies for other schools

ACS is known for good support for kids with special needs, e.g. autism etc. My son has high order autism: gifted and autistic. He will be going to GEP in ACS(P), P4 in 2010. Anyone with experience on how ACS(P) handles such students?

                  Care to share?

                      Hi Nebbermind,

My son was in ACSJ and will be transferring to ACSP for GEP for P4. I will be calling Mrs Wong tomorrow. ACSJ has already done the handover to ACSP, and we will need to meet Mrs Wong to discuss his needs. Thanks for the help!

Do you know what is the school bus arrangement like to GEP kids? Are the hours different from mainstream, and how does the bus handle that?

                        Sorry for the late reply.

If I'm not wrong, most GEP classes will end by 4 pm and there'll be schoolbus available for that time slot. Talk to the regular driver and he'll make the necessary arrangement, incl a form to fill up the days affected & $$payment. πŸ˜„
