2013 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

PSLE is just one of the many tests we get in our lives.
Hard work/diligent efforts need not be justified solely based on test results.

ngl2010:
In 2009, there was only 1 difficult question and everybody said the paper is difficult.
My elder boy sat for the 2009 PSLE.
Not sure whether this forum has a 2009 PSLE discussion then, also cant remember how active/inactive I was in such a discussion.
There was the sweets qn that elder boy could not resolve in the exam hall. He said he spent 20 mins staring at the qn. A few hours later, he solved the qn.
Difficult? Maybe not. But the brain power must be exhausted till cant see the light then.
I heard that year, some Nanyang pupils were crying after the Maths paper. Of course, the next day, newspapers were flooded with parental complaints. -
Tmr is the Maths paper.

agree...there are many more tests in our lives and similarly, the rewards are also more satisfying than marks and grades.PSLE is just one of the many tests we get in our lives.

Honestly speaking, my son went thru' the PSLE last year. The only reply he gave me after his PSLE was 'manageable'. Some children are able to well and some may not, hence it is very subjective. For example, if the child reads widely as compared to a child who does not read, rationally the child who reads will say EL papers are easy as compared to the child who does not even lift a book to read will definitely say the EL papers are tough. We could not just derive that your child or the child himself commented that the papers are tough means majority will feel the same right ? :?

Nightmares.:
Is it weird that I'm praying for one paper to be a killer? Because then I can assure myself that PSLE is difficult and so all the effort I put in is worth it.
Think about the other candidates, Nightmares. -

Maths, since I've heard parents complaining about its difficulty. I want to see how difficult is \"too difficult\".[/quote]Nightmares, is Maths your strongest subject? Which is your 'weakest'?ngl2010:

Which paper do you want to be a killer paper?
