      rains:
Nightmares is just a 12-year-old. 不要跟小孩子计较la. I like his or her straightforwardness, and doesn't pretend to be humble, just like how a 12-yr-old should be. He or she is proud that he or she is excellent in Maths and does not hide his or her being proud of it. As a child, perhaps asking him or her to contain such feelings may be a tall order. I am sure most of us were not more mature than him or her when we were that age.

      Agreed 😄

DS just told me tomorrow Math paper will be difficult. He said heard from tuition teacher. Wonder what is the process? Only allocated teachers in moe will know the questions?

        Hear only the good stuff.

Ignore what the tuition teacher said.

        😉

          ngl2010:

Does it mean that 2009 is the year where Primary School Maths became so difficult?
After the big outcry of the 2009 PLSE Maths paper...
The following 2 yrs, 2010, 2011.... the general feedback fr KSP forum was that the Maths papers were rather \" Easy\"....most said manageable...
Hence, pple were anticipating that 2012 Maths paper would be a difficult paper ( since after 2 yrs of Easy papers)...
But again....the feedback here was \"Manageable\"....
So let's see the 2013 paper....
dont think Moe/ Seab wanna to repeat what they had seen/received in 2009.... 😉

DS seems very cool. Think he belongs to \"cannot be bother\" category. :slapshead:

Just sharing my humble opinion after going thru some earlier posts, it would be comforting to lend a listening ear and give kind advice as & when necessary, but need to be more sensitive wif ur words when communicating wif a mere 12 yr old, shd u feel that their posts are not that favorable & insensitive to others' feelings.

I feel the whole problem lies wif this T-score grading system & the fact that school posting, sad to say is based on T-Score. It has led many people (kids, parents, even some schools) to think that PSLE is all abt outdoing others, scoring an A* myself isn't good enough, it would be best if not too many others score A*; or even better if others is a low A* but mine is a high A*.

I personally feel that having to go thru all these stress is not easy for a 12 yr old, I think they are here to de-stress too, just like us, and I think I'm fine with & appreciate these kids for sharing how they feel here, just need to remind them to be more mindful, when they post anything as some may feel offensive or hurt.

I hv no intention of offending anybody here. Allow me to apologize, if I unknowingly did. Just sharing my view. 🙂

I rmb there was a teacher who feedback that even the 2-3 marks questions werent easy....need to think hard before solving....

But such problem sums certainly appeared unfamiliar to the 2009 batch....
What's more to be solved under constrained exam conditions ??

And not to forget ...the 2009 PSLE batch was the guinea pigs...
the 1st first batch who underwent the new change of the Maths format...

The above must be the reasons why elder boy's brain was fried before the end of the paper.

My advice to all P6ers: hv a good night's sleep tonight.

Haha.....i rmb my gal was so phsically n mentally tired when she was back fr sch....
Went straight to her bed to sleep first thing when she came back...
She said she had used up all her brain cells....
i actually din expect her to say that...one who always had perfect or near perfect scores for her Maths....
The worst thing was that....there was still a science paper the next day....
                  There was no break...unlike now...

Is there anyone/'s children taking Foundation Maths?

or is there anyone/'s children took last year’s foundation Maths PSLE paper? If so, is it managable? Or am I the only one here who is taking FMA?

LOL, dun u think these guys (or gals) r abit too \"mature\" for their age? I dun see that many 12 yo who think tis \"far\"... I wouldn't want my dc to think this way, e values doesn't seems right to me... It's like: yeah when everyone else die, i'll be e last man standing....

Kinda scary that 12yo r thinking this way :siam:

                        Sad to read such....
                        SG future leaders ?!?!?!

No choice..is the T score formula that make them think that way.
