That's rite. CCA is not compulsory in PH at any level ... but imho it can provide a wonderful growing-up experience for our children.
I was told CCA is not compulsory in primary levels. Do they list out your CCA in the report book?
Nope, they don't list out CCA in the report book ... ds was involved in CCA since P1 and it was not recorded in the report book.
Which CCA is your ds interested in? If he is really keen, will you support him? -
Jennifer:
DS and some of his classmates complained that there's too much homework. Like your ds1, my ds is also able to complete his work fast but he struggled recently with the amt of homework given and missed some of the deadlines.
Last time, drilled in class + home assignments.
Now, less home assignments.
My elder boy is a fast worker. It was normal to see him sat down to work in the afternoon to dinner time.
Now ah boy has more free time after school.
There is really a change.
I noticed that the bulk of the workload will come just before SA1/2 to gear them up for the exams.
Having said that, mabbe it was worse last time but I don't have visibility to that as I'm only lucky enough to have one kid. -

CCA will be listed in upper pri, think in P5, P6.
Also CCA Achievement will be shown in the report book (unfortunately not auto-capture, parents have to write in to CCA T/Head to get these info printed  )

My elder boy was not in PH during pri 3. P4 was a breeze bcos he was in Joy4. P5 was a shock to him initially, adapted quickly to the voluminous workload. Imagine, 1st day of sch only came back with need to write a compo.

For Boys Brigade, they put in report book as \"member\". But then this CCA only starts in P3.

Brota,
My boy very keen in Robotics. In fact, told me in K2 even b4 he entered PH. :rotflmao:
Too bad, it only starts in P4. 1yr + 3 mths to go.
I am thinking if I should let him join a CCA next year. -
dyh:
I don't want him to go to school on Sat leh. This limits his CCA choices.

Where is bro FQW???
Maybe http://media.photobucket.com/user/mtgirl79/media/smileys/sofa.gif.html because he is one step closer to having to organise the BBQ?
Don't worry, FQW, Jennifer will be the co-organiser of the BBQ, too. http://media.photobucket.com/user/cindyinderry/media/Smilies/thCheerLeader01.gif.html
