Thanks notredame for ur kind words, but my eyes popped out when I see my name appeared here. I really don't remember having posted anything to make anyone feel that my dd falls under the top pupils category. In fact, when I do post anything, I would normally double check, triple check before submitting, to make sure that information shared & words used are appropriate, and sensititive to others feelings.

Moreover, the truth is, I really would not consider my dd in the top pupil category, above average(maybe) at most, definitely not top lah. 🙂

I have been following the thread on DSA 2013. Me no 'stalker' though. 😂

Aiyoh..... Now u make me really kancheong, having the urge to run thru the DSA 2013 thread again. Wondering whether I hv posted anything that hinted abt my dd performance, or seemed insensitive to others, without realizing it.

Honestly, I normally would refrain from sharing my dd's performance in the forum to avoid trouble, unless some parents PM me for more personal sharing. To avoid possible hostility from some, I dun enough share wif my relatives, friends & neighbors that my dd is the GEP. I just want my dd to be viewed & treated fairly, normally, lead a happy childhood, hv many many friends & not judged just because shez in the GEP. :)[/quote]Hi, hv read your posts and you come across as a very nice person.
I always tell my children you will be always judged no matter who you are. But how you treat others will change their opinion of you.
My ds is a very trying character for his teachers. But he did something out of the ordinary for a fellow classmate in sec 1 and that forever changed his teachers' opinion of him. The HOD said 'I hv taught him for 2 yrs and this boy ah did something which I never thought that he wld do' He totally surprised us at the PTA but we were so proud of him.

This year looks like chi is differentiating factor.

                    notredame:
Dc find the paper manageable only. MT is his weakest subject. No 'surprisingly easy' comments from him as compared to the past 2 papers. He managed to fill up all the lines in compre almost without any corrections. To him, that was an achievement(??).

My dd said there's a boy from another class who said he didn't do 7 qns (22 marks) bcos he didn't kn how to do. But Science is a strong subj for boys usu, so maybe it will be more positive tomm.

No offence, but my kiddo thinks the compre is very easy, to the extent that he feels younger bro (P2) would be able to get 80% of the answers. Don't think the paper is going to be very differentiating since compre is usually the 'differentiating' section.

But then again, kiddo is in a SAP school, so all along the teachers have been pumping the kids at higher level Chinese. The CL HOD even called the MCQ questions 送分题 during parents' briefing. 😓
