:imanisland: u cooking for yourself?

Hi icy_mama
Good Evening
For my boy.
Best wishes -
ok, u can try this. i bought wonton skins from ntuc. trick is not to put too much meat onto each wonton skin and when deepfrying, oil must be hot but not smoking cos will burn the skin before cooking the meat inside.
depending on how much u want to make. simple version here, but u can vary the ingredients according to your tastebuds, like adding minced prawns too.
about 100g minced pork, seasoned with salt and pepper
2 pieces of water chestnut, chopped finely
some spring onions, chopped finely
1egg yolk (keep the white for sealing the wontons)
mix them up well.
scoop small amount of mixture onto wonton skin and fold into half and seal with egg white.
this should make about 20pcs i think. but the number doesn't matter.
have fun cooking and hope your boy will enjoy eating, tianzhu!

The Pontian fried wonton has an extra ingredient. Got a crunch in it. Is it salted fish? Or the fried bian yu?

I always ask for extra serving when I eat this at West Mall Pontian. Hv tried the other Pontian at BP Mall, cheat type, miserable filling, almost like nothing.Jennifer:
