1st day of school’s impression, many students hung around void deck of blk 407’s mini mart waiting for friends I guess. Male teachers went outside the school chasing them to move into the sch for assembly. Quite a number of students late and they seems to be in the upper secondary students.

Can someone advise me? I intend to register my child in Hai Sing Catholic School - Normal Academic program. How is the environment and discipline of this school? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi, anyone here posted to haising? Dd has been posted there, the orientation was just filling up of forms and getting the book list.
Just like to check with current students, the sec 1 science textbooks are 3 separate books, one for bio, phys and chem and it’s for o levels. Even the sec 1 geog textbook is for upper sec. When i checked with the other sec schs, thy are using sci for lower sec. I was a bit shocked that the book is preparing them for o levels already, pl correct me. At first I thought I took the wrong book list, but it’s the correct level indicated.

Hi, I graduated from HaiSing in year 2012. In HaiSing, sec1s are required to purchase upper sec books for subjects such as Physics,Chemistry,Biology,and Geography.
Please do not be astonished, topics taught are all ‘moderated’ such that it would be of suitable level for lower secondary. A few merits about this system are: 1) lower secondary students are exposed to O level topics and are able to get an overview of the entire syllabus 2) Less money spent in future for upper sec textbooks. -
Just some advice, school starts at 7:20am, anytime beyond that is considered late. On wednesdays, school starts later at 8.20am.
On normal days(excluding wed), there will be a silent reading programme at the parade square until 8.00. Lesson starts then.
There is also an odd-even week program.

My colleague plans his child to enter due to close location; regardless of score as can save transport costs n can allow son to sleep much later.
