Don't worry, he's probably too busy with his work, or being just forgetful which I think is normal.
DS asked me to sign on the OBS Consent Form only yesterday morning.. Then he took the whole stack (details + form) with him to school.. I have not even read the details yet.. :slapshead:
Feeling quite 'lost' with what DS is doing in school nowadays.. Anyone has this feeling too ?
Sometimes ds forgets to tell me things too. I'll just ask him during dinner how his day has been in school, how's his revision going, etc, then he suddenly remembers 'Oh yah, I've something for u to sign'. If not for the fact that I started the conversation that triggered his memory, I don't think he can remember too. -

Thanks VSK.. Just a passing dark cloud for me.. Blown away by the wind already..

Yes.. I am thankful that DS1 has been vey independent & self-motivated, which allows me to focus more time & energy on DS2, who is the direct opposite of DS1..
Btw.. Has your DS decided on what subject combination to take in Year-3? 3 Sciences 1 Humanities, or 2 Sciences 2 Humanities ? -

Oops...sorry for the late response. My laptop crashed - now got to spend :moneyflies: buying a new one. I'm using DH's work laptop in the meantime.
DS will probably take double science - Physics and Chem - plus Geog. Not taking history. He says it's easier to cope with geog as it is more factual.
so he'll be taking 8 subjects plus 1 elective - Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Add Maths, E Maths, Eng, Chinese, Social Studies and CEP - not confirmed - he says it's a wierd combination. Most of his friends taking triple science (more popular choice)
Ds says his friends say it's risky to take 8 subjects. So really don't know if he should take an additional subject coz I think CEP being elective can only be used to replace another lower GPA score right? But if he take an additional subject - either switch to triple science or if he wants to stick to double science then he has to take literature which he doesn't like. Still deciding.
How abt yr ds? -
for sec 1 student, any recommendations on which assessment books are good for the sciences and maths? went to popular and manage to find one math assessment book stating (Integrated Programme) but not for the sciences, so wondering what are the suitable assessment books for the sec 1

How abt yr ds?
DS does not like Physics & Literature. Initially, DS intends to take 2S 2H (Bio, Chem, Hist, Geog), but there is no Hist/Geog combi, only Lit/Hist & Lit/Geog. Moreover, DS' CCA seniors advise him not to drop Physics, as it is a very useful Science subject, especially if one plans to study Engineering in the University..
DS says if he has to do Physics, then he might as well do 3S 1H (Phy, Chem, Bio, Hist). Somehow, DS still prefers Physics to Literature, if he has to choose between the two..
DS also has 3rd Language & CEP too, but will most likely drop CEP next year, coz cannot take 2 Electives in Year-3 (Is it true?)..
Btw.. When must the boys submit their subject choices ? DS says he hopes to take 9 or 10 subjects, but I feel that 9 subjects would be most ideal..

Hi yr 2 parents,
What are the comments your DS have for the geo and Eng papers today? Can they manage? -

Don't need any assessment books. Enjoy the holidays.

Yes, it's true in year 3 only can take 1 elective. ds says will wait for his end of year results before deciding coz he said to take 9 subjects overall gpa must be 3.2 and for 10 subjects must get gpa score of 3.6.
VSK.. Sorry for my late reply too..

So I think the deadline to submit should be after the results are released.
