Raffles Girls' Primary

Anyone know how are the kids being assigned to which p1 class ?
Is it by birth month ? -
I think the classes are allocated via the phase the girls got into during the P1 registration excersie.
I know most P2B are aollcated in 1E and 1F, and P2C ones are allocated 1G onwards.
Need someone to confirm. -
Looking at the 2014 p1 namelist(s) on the white board, it seems / appear that they go by p1 registration phase :-
- classes (1a, 1b, 1c) have many kids, from alumni (phase 2a1) and 2a(2).
- classes (1d, 1e, 1f) have several kids, from parent volunteer (phase 2b) support group.
- classes (1g, 1h, 1i) have kids balloted in from public, staying < 1km (phase 2c)
The siblings from phase 1 are then randomly allocated / slotted into the 9 classes, according to sir name. -

Read compositions aloud during assembly? That'll add even more noise. Anyway, aren't they supposed to be listening attentively to announcements?Instead if standing for 3 months, should have asked this p2 class to read out composition aloud for 3 weeks (at most, not 3 months). Make whole class read the same Compo aloud. Day 2, change to another Compo.
This way, they are learning something, time spent more worthwhile. Next time, if want to chat during assembly, spend time more wisely, by reading. Drill into them the message of \"silent reading\", instead of chit chat. Give them a choice - do you want to stand, or do you want to sit down, read quietly ? -

They’re being punished for making noise during assembly and you’re proposing they read aloud.

I think a number of girls in 1D were registered under Phase 2A2. Those that I know in 1E, were under Phase 2B.

Interesting fact to know though...hehs...that allocation was according to registration phase.
