Students are to stand 5 to 10 mins at the parade square during assembly, everyday except Tuesday and rainy days.
The parade square is not sheltered. -

Hi to the parents of JH3 and above,
I have heard that Year 3 is tough. My DD is JH2 going to JH3.
Possible to share some info and insights regarding JH3
a. Which are the subjects that are tough?
b. Which subject combination is tough? (triple science, advance humanities, advance LA)
By the way, any sharing on where is a good place to send for Chinese tuition?
Thanks in advance. -

When elder boy was sitting for the 1st exam of JH3 last year, he displayed a little anxiety, reason being he perceived the exam as the 1st formal exam since PSLE. After which, it was back to normal.Hi to the parents of JH3 and above,

I do not see my boy mugging over studies, except for CL. The motto Practice makes perfect is no longer applicable. One should study to understand the concept well, to build a solid foundation rather than memorise by hard.
My boy says as long as one pays attention in class, makes sure one understands the concepts, do the assignments properly, there should be no prob in doing well in sch.
To him, History n Geography other than Chinese are tough subjects. Simply bcos these are not his cup of tea.
Since toddler, he will yawn the moment we open a Chinese book. These few days of Mother Tongue consolidation is making him more tired
But he is doing ok, still cheerful n upbeat. I guess he is seeing 6th Nov as an end to his MT misery :rotflmao:
He attended a SAP pri sch, got a merit in his HCL through tuition in Hua Cheng since mid P5. We saw his MT grading going downhill from term to term in JH1, even though he was attending HCL tuition at Hua Cheng. I believe the issue is due to NJC does not teach according to the textbook and the textbook chapters in sequence. It is impossible for the tutor to teach in advance to cope with the school pace.
So we changed tuition centre to Jing Cai at Beauty World. This tutor conducted a hol class to teach all the ziyu in the textbooks. Then followed by endless worksheets. He managed to maintain the MT grade at C in JH2, then B in JH3. This year, he has done better in compo writing due to less wrong characters written n the structure is more eloquent.
I feel that for my boy, these 4 years of mugging in CL has finally shown some improvements. My expectation is very low - just a grade that can exempt him from taking CL in SH. -
