Children are assign randomly or by their birthcert no.?

School will ensure approx 50-50 for girls n boys in each class but normally there will be slightly more boys. definitely not by birthcert no. as the birthday months of the kids in my boy's class spread across the 12 mths.

So every month got birthday celebration in school?
The parents in my boy's class not so on, so zero birthday celebration in school. But I noted from some class blogs, there are still a lot of birthday celebrations going on during recess break!

Oops...! Sorry, I've made a mistake. I've mixed it up with the venue for P2 meet-the -parents.
Yes, it's at Toh Tuck campus.
        Paiseh, paiseh..
No worries, I didn't mean to sound so curt I was just rushing out the door when I posted that...

Hello experienced parents here… May sound a little silly, but do P1 kids have many books to carry? Thinking whether I should get a trolley bag or haversack.

Since the orientation pack is not out yet, the 16/11 orientation, is it at 8 or 9 am?

          Thanks for any advice.

They will normally leave the bulk of their books in their tray under their desk...no need to buy trolley bag or huge bag...

Trolley bag is actually not a good idea for KRC…lots of stairs to climb.

VooVoo is right, they will just leave the books under desk or in the locker.
But heard of some parents buying 2 sets of books…one set for school, one set for home.

So this year is late. Anyone received already?

My (P5) dd’s English teacher told the class their oral and listening marks today. One girl cried inconsolably after getting her marks. The girl scored 49 out of 50!!! 29/30 for oral and 20/20 for listening. Near perfect score.

The girl told the teacher that her mother would scold her if she did not get full marks. The teacher tried to console her and told her that she would call her mother. The girl asked the teacher not to call as her mother would get even more upset. The teacher then said she would call the father instead. The girl again said no as the parents would end up quarrelling.

To the mother of this girl (if you are reading this forum), you are so fortunate to have such an intelligent and, more importantly, very sensible daughter. She deserves your praise not scolding for achieving such a fantastic result. Please don’t ruin her life.
