Most berserk wrong number

hquek, may not be wrong number...could be a ruse just like any other...remember the spate of PRC's calling and preying on the senior citizens saying that their kid/grandkid or relative kenna kidnapped? Yeah, samo samo...con you into giving them your account number. MIL kenna once and she actually gave her account number and PIN   :!: . So FIL had to take leave and get all PINs changed. Sigh! Warao....could they have cloned her ATM card too?The one call that got me most worried was taken by my parents, when I'm not home. It was one of those, congratulations you've won 250,000 (can't remember the currency). My dad was free enough to entertain them...but lucky he's lucid to know that this is likely a scam....so all he did was try to convince them to send the money over first.
I call it si beh wu eng....

Hey all
There was this old Ah Mah that calls my hp several times on Saturday mornings to find out What time I would be home for lunch and what I want to eat.
She still rattles on when I tried telling her she got wrong number.
I tried to be nice coz I know she just wanted to get to her daughter....
One rainy morning she called
Ah Mah: (in hokkien) What time you coming home ah?
Me: Ah Mah, its me, not your daughter. You got wrong number again.
Ah Mah :Aiyoh, no lah. Heavy rain and govt telephone line no good. I 'pressed' correct number leh.... must be thr thunder lah!
Me: Ah Mah bye bye :stupid:
Till today my hp only turn off on Friday nite...... -

wow like that also can ...I had a few encounters but one that left indelible impression was this one when I was still single then.
Dialogue as follows:
Me: Hello
Stranger: Hello, May I speak to so and so please?
Me: Sorry, you've got the wrong number.
Stranger: Errr...sorry but what is the number I dialed?
Me: Sorry, whatever number you had dialed, it was the wrong number... *hangup*
*phone ring again*
Stranger: Hello, I think I got the wrong number right now
*?????????????*
Me: Yes, but it is still the wrong number, there is no such person.
Stranger: You speak well, can I call you sometime and talk to you?
Me: *shocked* No sorry, I don't know you and I have nothing to speak to you about.
Stranger: I am xxxxxxx. You really speak well, you don't sound Singaporean. (Bullshit!!!! I feel that I totally sound Singaporean)
Me: Still no, I am afraid I have to hang up now.
Stranger: No wait, what is your name?
Me: I am sorry, I am hanging up now. *hangup*
Guess what, this fellow continued to call back several times over a period of time and each time I picked up, he would continue to rattle on, sharing more and more about himself.... lidat also can??????? If others picked, he would hang up.........

ya such scam calls are quite common. I have received a number myself. -
probably very depressed after Miss XXXX stole her hubby and was not thinking straight.

I had this call to my land line many years ago. The caller called many times, insisted that he got the correct number and wanted to order something (can't remember what) despite my telling him that he got the wrong number so I cracked my head for an idea  to stop him from calling again .... True enough, he called again! :wrongmove:
He : I want to order xxx
Me : This is COFFIN SHOP, what size do you want?
Silence ..... and no more calls from him ever again .... :rotflmao: -
this happened sometime ago on my husband's phone.
i picked up the first call:
Lady : So where are you meeting XYZ (man's name) later?
Me : ??? I'll get ABC (my dh's name) to call you back.
My dh returned the call based on caller ID:
Dh : may i know who called just now?
Man : ??? who you looking for?
Dh : sorry, wrong number.
A few moments later from the same number:
Lady : So what time are you meeting XYZ later?
Dh : ???!!! wrong number!!
my dh's name does sound like a lady's name...
