May I know more about the Year Two streaming system? If a student has gotten 2.4 for his gpa and C for language arts will he be streamed to 3A express? Also, What is the max year two’s gpa of the o-level class these few years? thanks.

Just to update....my dd got probationary promotion.....she will have to retest certain paper in December......sori my ignorance , what is probationary promotion? So, is my dd promoted already or must cleared the December's paper then can? A bit confused about it.

Bedokid, yr DD's FT didnt explain to her what they meant by probationary promotion ?
Why not u email her FT and asked for more details ?

Btw, how many subjects she needs to retest ? ( juz 1 paper or ?)
( if u dont mind to disclose...juz wanna to understand more on senior high promo criteria...

From the student handbook, the promo criteria is stated as GPA of 2.4 and above and with a pass in LA...
So shdnt be streamed to 3A...

I have no idea of the highest GPA of 3A students...

Are u a current student or a concerned parent enquiring for yr P6 child ?

Augmum, yesterday dd returned home with a letter....so roughly understand what is all about....the school will give assignments and worksheets to those who did not do well in that subject/s and the students must do them without fail.....when school opens they need to retest for that subject/s too and it is a MUST to do but not stated if counted or not......maybe to guage their strengths(??????)school still get parents to sign the agreement to get their kids to do what stated....isn't they are caring and considerate towards their students....appreciate that really....my dd needs to do two retests....good to make her revise all over again....no holiday is ok for her cos critical time calls for critical solution ....after her pw she will need to brush up everything again. Her teachers also agreed to give her consultations during holidays. So touched :rahrah: ......We as parents will support her as usual......now at least got closure to this promos but hard work still continues.....

Yes.... at least now there is some closure to this promo thingy....
At least there is a clear direction of what to do next...instead of pure worrying...

So when sch reopens, she will be in yr 6, right ....when doing the re- tests ?
Does the sch still see the results of the re-tests....or juz based on the completion of the assignments n worksheets ?

Yes, what we parents can do is to support our children emotionally with encouragements....
Recognition of their effort despite the outcome....esp so during such distress period...

Ya she will be in yr six next year....retest will be in late dec to early jan.....
Though the letter did not state about the result of the retest, dd still need to work hard for it.....this yr is real stressful and the forever no ending pw......

Thanks for your reply. I am a parent of a P6 girl. I am interested to know more about dhs as my dd wants to get into dunman high school.
