Any black sports shoe will suffice but no other colours shld b found in e shoes. It muz b all black. Some parents prefer Maryjane. It is oso acceptable. All black still applies.School uniform order form information. Parents of Pri 1 students Year 2014, please do not buy first as the child's house T-shirt colour is not released by school. I believe on Orientation Day, the info will be announced. Parents can calculate the total amount that they need to spend on buying school uniforms, PE attire, socks and name tags first and set aside budget for this.

By the way, can any parents of current students in MCS advise if it is compulsory to buy black sports shoes and black jacket that was indicated on order form?
e black jacket is not always used so it's not a muz to purchase. However do note that wen yur gals need to put on jacket (in aircon place, during outings, wen weather is cold), no other jackets are allowed except e MCS jacket. -
Parents can check out what are the necessary things to buy and budget for it. Primary 1 Booklist (Based on 2013 P1 pupils)

Pri 1 Orientation day will give out the new 2014 Pri 1 Booklist. -
Just received the orientation letter today.
DD will be in 1 Responsibility and Topaz house.
Anyone else in the same class? -
School uniform green, house T-shirt red. Fengshui colour is good - green and red, suitable for my child. Class: Secret
Parents have to fill up "Share Your Thoughts and Aspirations" Form.
1) Why do you choose to send your child here for her primary school education?
2) What are your aspirations for your child of this school community?
3) Moving forward, how would you like Marymount Convent School to develop? Or what is your vision for the school.
4) As the school embarks on the implementation of holistic education and holistic assessment, what are some contributions you would like to make for your child here?
The school clearly values parents’ inputs and parents have to return the completed form to Form Teacher on Orientation Day, 15 Nov.
I do hope the school uploads all the PowerPoint slides used during their P1 Orientation up on the website and update the website from time to time. It will be good for the school to implement class blog for every class’s parents to view. Moving forward, I certainly hope there is a Marymount Convent Secondary School to provide affiliation to MCS. -

hi sembgalHi baby snow
I was quoted $195 for 2 way from Sembawang to Marymount and back for next year 2014 bus transport rate.
Contact Marymount Convent school bus driver David: 9670 7698 (for North side only)
$195.00 is a shocker. :moneyflies:
do u know if there are other school buses that can do it more competitively or is it a monopoly?[/quote]
Hi babysnow, I found out that $195 (2 way) if 1 way, is $10 discount, the bus service is only for the children residing in Sembawang area. Pick up time is 11.20am and drop off time is 7.20pm. Friday drop off time is 6.20pm. Take into consideration that children have to reach MCS by 12pm and be dismissed at 6.30pm. Friday is 1 hour early dismissal. Paying a little higher in order to avoid the girls going merry go around is a factor to consider. I rather the minibus head up to expressway after picking all the girls up. I heard that currently this year about 10 girls taking this route. There will be 2 drivers, 1 in charge of morning route, the other in charge of evening return route. It is advisable to call David, the boss to find out more. Drivers only direct me to call David after I managed to talk to them.
David mentioned that on Orientation Day 15 Nov, we can talk to them again as the school bus service will be attending to parents' request. So don't miss out on the Orientation Day. -
Anyone’s dd in P1 Integrity next year?

hi sembgal
are the school timings that you have mentioned above firm for 2014?

have u started filling up the aspirations form that came in the orientation package? -
During P1 registration at Marymount Convent, I found out from the admin lady that children will have to be seated in the hall by 12.10pm from Mondays to Fridays. For dismissal timing, the children will be dismissed at 6.30pm from Monday to Thursday. As for Friday’s dismissal timing, the children are to be dismissed at 5.30pm. For parents who intend to pick the children up after school have to be aware about this.
I’m stuck at Question 4: As the school embarks on the implementation of holistic education and holistic assessment, what are some contributions you would like to make here?
Is it asking for money contribution or what? Anyone can offer me some suggestions to the answer? -
