Not unpaid bosses. They play a very important role in shaping the kids' lives and I would not just call them bosses, but \"Ministers\" .... Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Education etc ... aren't these very important jobs with heavy responsibilities? Only thing that SAHM loses out is CPF contribution, annual leave and medical leave! :stompfeet: But their contribution towards society is priceless! -

But I gathered all facts to boss and see what’s the outcome. So far nx yr have 2 PH that falls on Sat . -

I think your company is obligated to either credit one day to your annual leave, or allow you to take one day off-in-lieu of the PH or compensate in $. See below, extracted from AsiaOne News, 10 April 2013.
PAYMENT FOR WORK DONE ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY
The Ministry would like to remind all employers that under the Employment Act, an employee who is required to work on a public holiday is entitled to an extra day's salary at the basic rate of pay, in addition to the gross rate of pay for that holiday. The employer and employee may mutually agree to substitute a public holiday for any other day.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS ON SATURDAYS
