        Dee:
        Hi Bee,

I've finally decided to enrol my son at Kyra, simple reason being the most accessible location for my mum, within walking distance.

As my son just turn 2 years old, we are still not comfortable to let him take the schoolbus yet.

I also like the Seimpi music lesson that they have once a week, plus they are introducing speech and drama by hua language next year.

Initially we are pretty set on Yuquan, but their fees are really horrendously high - abt $750 after subsidy.. and I'm not sure if they are good at english and other areas besides chinese.
        Hi Dee,

Hope that your son had settled down in Kyra. Just for your infor, both Bus Uncle and Auntie are very nice couple. So you don't have to worry.

              Hi Bee,

I've paid my fees, to secure a place for my boy, but will only be starting in March. It's within walking distance, so no need for bus! feel better this way too cos my boy is quite hyperactive, and still not very comfortable letting him take a transport on his own. πŸ™‚

Did you let you child try the Sempini music lesson? I'm thinking of trying that once my boy settle down in the school, he love music..

Just that i know for the toddler class, they are having a new teacher to come in Jan, so hope she is a caring teacher.. crossing my fingers.

              Hi Mac,

The fees are very reasonable - after subsidy flexi hour 8amto530pm is about $380/ half day about $420. Just felt the deposit is a little too high though - at $600+. Got to pay a $50 for uniform, and mattress i think another fee (cant rmb how much).

It almost 3mths, has your son settled down in Kyra? I do sign up my son with their music lesson. Ever since they change to ABC Music & Me, can see my son like it very much as compare to the previous Sempini Music.

Who is your son Form Teacher? Mine is Teacher Melissa.

                    Hi Bee!

Sad to say, I’ve withdrawn my son after 2 months of school.
He love school a lot, i think he likes one of the assistant teacher there who takes very good care of him. Whenever he sees her, then he will step into school. He became more independent too, and talks more.

the problem is, he had fever occurence 4 times within less than 2 months, cough, flu and bad throat. I know it’s normal for kids to fall sick, but i think fever is something that shouldnt occur so often. Last weekend, he had fever fit (39.2 degrees), and I totally lost it, and decide to just remove him from school.

I guess it could be that Kyra is a childcare, so parents would have to leave the kids there due to work committments, even if the kid have not fully recovered.

Initially I wanted to just stop school for a month and see how it goes, however, I think the reply i got from the school was not very satisfactory - something along kids will build better immunity if they fall sick. I checked with my PD, and she told me those are bullshit. Kids build their immunity as they grow older, not by falling sick. and insist that i have to pay one month fees even if i wish to stop for a month, giving me the analogy of having to still pay rent even if you do not stay in the house.

I’m now on the search for a pre-school for playgroup, but not childcare facilities. Thinking of starting him when he turns 3 (he is not 2.5).

my son n my gal both are in kyra.

I like those enrichment programs which they offer in school.
Had my parent meeting session recently.Teachers were giving me suggestion on which enrichment class my kids will be more interested on..
After discussion, have sign my son up for kinderart, chinese speech n drama and computer class..As for my gal will be speech n drama and kindermusik..
The kids are adapting well in kyra. Especially my son...he really had great improvement in his studies. And now even when at home, he will just drag an assessment book to do,read story book without us asking him to do so. πŸ˜„
