Hello everyone,
Anyone know the PSLE results for Mayflower last year?
Tanggy -
Hi Tanggy,
The results were on the school’s website last year but were removed.
You can consider going to the school’s open house on 12 July. I believe the results will be shared during the briefing.
Fyi, my friend decided at the last minute to register her son at Phase 2C last year but there were no more vacancies. In fact, there was a ‘waiting list’.
My child is in P1 this year and everything is good to date. His class teacher is responsive. I see the principal involved in activities and mingle with the students / parents. -
Thank you for the information.
yes I will be at the orientation on 12 July.
I am still deciding between Mayflower and Teck Ghee.
Any suggestions?
Tanggy

I was old girl from MFPS and I gathered some positive feedback from other parents of older students in MFPS. Decided to register my child without asking around about Teck Ghee. So cannot tell you anything about Teck Ghee.

My child from P3 came home with a form for GEP screening test. Can anyone share some light about this GEP thingy? What are the issues involved? I just want my child to be happy.
Anyway, I told my child to sign up for the challenge and have fun. No preps or stress. Just experience the process as it’s held during school time.

Hi,
I am a parent staying in AMK and deciding between Mayflower and Anderson primary for my son. I am more inclined to choose Mayflower but that will mean giving up my Phase 2A(1) with Anderson for Phase 2C with Mayflower.
Am delighted to know that Mayflower Primary has received School of Distinction award and Best Practice Awards in Teaching and Learning and Staff Well-Being this year.
Want to hear more comments from parents whose children are already studying in this school to help me make informed decision. -
Hi jennt,
My boy is in p1 this year so I am not sure if my feedback is of value. I am happy with everything so far. For p1, he gets homework almost daily (mostly Chinese). A few pages only so still manageable with the weekly English & Chinese spelling. There were 2 parent teacher conferences this year - end of Term 1 & 2. Parents are also invited to watch students’ drama presentations. Those are part of English and Mother Tongue curriculum.
Students who did better were given the option to attend a short stretch programme, once a week after school hours. The weaker students were also given dedicated attention. In addition, they offer elective programmes like story telling, ballet… to p1 students.
Not sure if you are aware but the school hours are pretty long. Assemble at 7.10am for silent reading and dismissal is at 1.30pm daily. The extra lessons start at 2pm. -
Hi my daughter is joining MFP 2014, would like to know others like us… thank u
