Admittedly DHS' timetabling isn't very ideal. The timetable has been like that even a few years back. I've seen worse timetabling problems than erratic recess times though.


The timetabling has really improved, especially this year. I mean it! It probably depends on the classes your sons/daughters are in. Some classes have regular recess times, but some don't. Oh, about the 1145am recesses, as far as I know, it only happens on Mondays when school starts an hour late. I think that's good, because everyone probably eats breakfast later.

The 10-day timetable is common to other schools too. I keep track by writing the dates in my planner in advance. I write \"Day 1\" or \"Day 6\" on every Monday page. Hope that helps. It's actually really easy to keep track of everything after a while.

Hi, yes the 11.45am recess is y'day lor, monday. she was like very hungry. I just dont feel healthy. some day u eat so early so day u eat so late. some monday they got 2 breaks mean 1 morning, and 1 noon. all this happen on monday. I told her if the day where her recess is very late, i ask her to hv another round of breakfast when she reach sch. haha.

Ya very messy dont know wat time to fetch, but lucky my early time to fetch her is 3.45pm. Now she got t o tell me everynight tml wat time sch end.

So the student in DHS is expecting this 10 day timable all the way fr Yr1 to Yr6 ?

Oh ya they are going to have the lang art camp, my is on friday 12/feb.

And CCA my gal got into track and field, she was so happy.

Thanks for the input; guess with the heavy workload + CCA + "chinese" env, there’ll be less BGR problems. anyway, all gals/ boys school may also have lesbian/ gay problems which may be "worse" !!

Parents, the circle line stage 2 will be running from April 17, any idea how far or how near is it from DHS? hoping that my gal can skip the bus 158 leg from school daily by using this line…

hi, i think the nearest is mountbatten mrt station. but looks like also must walk very far. i pass by there everyday when i go to dhs.

Hi, my dd also in DHS year 1. My dd has been taking bus 158 to sch from Serangoon Int, journey takes 40 mins, but now that the circle line opening in

April, good lor shorten the travelling time. So the circle line near to DH is Mountbatten, opp those Jln Batu HDB flats so walking distance about 5 mins to 10 mins if you cut through those flats to the sch back gate.

hi vivwi. But when i look at it, is like hv to cross the wide road leh. and walk for some distance leh. do think it only take 5-10min. to me is like 15min at least.

did u receive the letter regarding the picking up of pupils on 1 st and 2nd FEB...
it mentioned \"due to a very big event\".......bla...bla.....bla....
but throughout the letter, they din mention what \"big event\"....haha

so do u know anything abt it?? (i have checked the website, no info)
and i don't understand what they meant by \" in the shortest possible time\"
aiyo.....as if like we'll chitchat and have a drink with our child b4 fetching her back.....
everyday, we just drive up to the small aroundabt, pick gal up and go.......
that is already the shortest possible time.......cannot shorter anymore...hehe

ok...regarding homework, it's getting lots more now
i realise lots of maths worksheets/assignments almost everyday
i wanna to bring out the prob of the maths online assignment,
is so difficult to have it done online for the worksheets regarding the removal of the redundant brackets....(i hope u all know which section i am referring to)
my gal spent quite a long time in front of the screen doing them
and i would say it is so bad for the eyesight.....
as u have to strain yr eyes and focus on all the \"same brackets\" given....
did yr child encounter such prob??

hello augmum. maybe the sch trying to tell those parent who park in the sch. dont go in and park so long. wat event must find out. i only get to see my gal to night. today me not fetching her.
