      LOLMum:
Lots of fun and celebrations from I heard.

I heard that the neighbors on my street (well, old neighborhood) are having a party in the park nearby to celebrate this occasions.

Similar events are held all over uk. But I heard that the queues situation at the immigration at heathrow is real bad.........So better go o toilet first before clearing immigration.
Thanks! You are right. Since I bought the tickets, will just enjoy the holiday.

        14 Days England/Scotland/Wales

        Hi

We are undecided whether to do a self-drive in Central Japan or the above during the last two weeks of December. I've took a look at this website http://www.britishtourplans.com/proddet ... od=12-down not sure if I should buy this and follow, would like to hear our local advise if this is feasible. Especially Mommies/Daddies who are already residing in UK, are these routes mountainous, snowy during December period. We'd done NZ south and north in 18 days driving approx 400km per day with ease. Not sure if UK would be the same

Thanks in advance, all valuable advises deeply appreciated 🙂

Haha weather very unpredictable nowadays. But if caught snow storm or whatsoever, I guess I prefer to be stuck in a place where people can speak English…unless I can speak Japanese well…then maybe Japan…

I'm still in the very beginning of planning, hence super noob  base on the itinerary, which part of these routes will be likely to be encounter with mountainous/snowy road (IF)? Do we require snow chain? Or are UK cars already equip with snow tires like in Japan?

We’re travelling to London this month and thinking of watching a musical play. Which do you think is better Phantom of the Opera of Les Miserables?

Must I book the tickets online in advance? If not, where can I buy the tickets when in London?

Has anyone tried either Big Bus Tours or The Original London Sightseeing Tour? Any feedback?

Both are very good but I’d vote for Phantom. I think better to book in advance. Last time we ended up with seats so high up I was sitting on the edge of my seat throughout…short, no choice…

Been quite a long time ago, I can’t remember where to buy tix. Sorry.

I'd vote for Phantom too 😄 I watched both in other cities so I can't tell you about tickets in London.

You can buy your tickets from the ticket centres in London, or you can go to the theatre itself. Whether you can get good tickets while there is really up to your luck. I’ve watched both Les Mis and Phantom in London before. Both are very good. If you can, catch both.

Pls buy from TKTS at Leicester Square if u r near Chinatown. Afternoon MATINEES are much cheaper. One day before musical or drama will hv good discounts.

Online shd be the norm these days.

Phantom is more visual than Les Mis which is very \"grey and gloomy\".
