Oh by the way, The Autism Resource Centre will host series of courses throughout the year.

          http://www.autism.org.sg/training/calendar.php

There is also a $200 caregiver grant per year that parents can used to attend these courses as well.

            botakgundul,

Thank you once again for the detailed write up.

Yup I have authorized KKH to release all documents (Psychological reports, Medical Reports, IQ test reports) to the school.

On top of this, I have also send the AEDs the \"School readiness\" report as well.

I have already reached out to the AEDs and will share all your pointers with the AEDs as well. I hope he will meet a nice buddy in class. Right now in his mainstream CC, he also have this buddy who always look out for him. But too bad they are not enrolled in the same school.

May all our kids keep meeting kind souls along the way.
No problem. I'm glad that you find it useful. Let us helping each other... Cheers!

I did. The smaller blocks. To help him work on fine motor skills. Never seen an ironman Lego though. Where sell? I am quite price sensitive.

Btw, thanks for your post. Am trying to memorize all you wrote. LoL!!

For St. Andrew, it's not our favour due to long waiting list.
DS1 is going into St. Andrews P1 in Jan. I am an old boy there too. If there is anything I can help, let me know.

If you happen to try this out, do share how it goes. I have read some books on how pets (usually dogs or horses) will help ASD children. While it is not evidence-based, there are anecdotal success stories.

I too am not a pet person, and unlikely that we will have a pet dog cos we are staying with the ILs and they are not into pets too. But I would be keen to learn about how this works.
Ok. Getting one tomorrow. Nowadays buy pet v troublesome. Must research, view, fix appt, wait for right colour etc. I don't know how I can scientifically claim it will help but I will report whatever I observe...
