I love Lana but it’s become really expensive- like over $30 for a small loaf of pound cake. Vicky’s cake has also shrunk tremendously. Awfully Chocolate’s is a tad too dry. Maybe that’s why I haven’t had chocolate cake in a while…

I get excited when there is a discussion on chocolate cakes!

I think Lana is a classic, we grow up with it.
For Jane's, I remember a couple of years back, when I order one for my son's birthday at his kinddie...it was so popular that most kids want a second or third helping that we ran out of cake
However, my latest fav now is neither Lana nor Jane...it's Bakerzin Chocolate Amer.

oh i love cakes! and chocolates too!

on Lana cakes - i used to buy theirs, but i think the standard has dropped and the price has gone up. Last month I tried their walnut cake... so-so... think i will stick to bengawansolo... cheaper too.

I prefer jane's, its a little more moist then lana and vicky's. and their durian cake is wonderful. i don't even mind the long drive there from where i stay... heheheee...

choc-a-bloc chocolate cakes are nice too! their brownies are very good as well. I got their cake for my DD's birthday and everyone has all praise for it. try! they are at bedok north.
