By when they will announce the streamed classes for P4 kids.Heard they are going to make top 3 classes in P5.Is this true or still only the top two classes. -

For 2013 P3, C, F & G are the High ability classes. This was gathered from bits and pcs from teachers and parents.
For 2014 P3, the same seem to apply. -

Quite disappointed to know that there will be no positioning shown in their report book.
Maybe this is good for kids who are below par so that they won't feel disappointed/discouraged as their friends won't get to compare the position but for those who had put in effort in exams and hope to get recognition for their hard work is bad news!
Without the positioning, how are we going to motivate our child to perform better? :scratchhead:
I agree with you. My kids are more motivated when they know their ranking.
Maybe we should write to the P and feedback that we prefer to have the ranking shown in the report book, or at least, if the parents request, the information should be furnished to them. I'll write to the P about this. Hope more parents can also do the same. Thanks! -

Definitely not in time for this year, but at least in time for next year. They only implement this new system this year. Previously, the rankings were shown in the report books

But how would the parents know that the ranking is not shown in this year’s report book when our kids have not gotten theirs back?

We received a letter from Fairfield to say that from this year onwards, the ranking will not be shown in the report book. Didn’t you receive the letter?

No, the letter was sent out beginning of the year.
