Across all levels streaming or just specifically for P3 going to P4? What if the top student in class X scored lower points than top-6 in class Y?lovinglife:

sorry to chime into the meta or HA debate. just to relate our experience.
we ultimately gave the decision to our DS. he made his own decision if he wanted to accept the META offer or not. we gave him all the information that he needed to know, what META is about, what it hopes to achieve, what kind of work load is expected and then he made up his mind on his own.
looking back, i feel that probably was the right way for us to deal with the situation. every family is different, what works for us might not work for you. we were in the view that if he has a say in the decision making process, he will be better prepared to handle the workload and activities that come up as a result of being in META.
oh, some might ask - what happens if he chooses not to be in META? well, to us, that’s ok too because at the end of the day, its a reflection of what he is willing or not willing to go through, willing or not willing to take up the challenge. -

Was told that the meta students have been informed. Based on past yr abt 60 students grouped into 2 classes. They need to decide if they want to join meta or remain in main stream (HA n MA).
The meta students will remained as a group fr p4 to p6. That is will not be mixed with main stream anymore.
In sum there will be 4 gep, 2 meta, 2-3 ha, and the rest ma classes.
At the p3 mtp session now. -

Probably, the sch does not want to have chaotic situations on the 1st day of school.
The P2 kids will be at King’s Road Campus tomorrow , buddied by the P6 seniors. -
This year Nyps p3 for gep selection has
160+ round 2.
40+ offered gep (last yr 20+)
50+ offered meta
