$210 is too ex, from Kovan to circuit road.

Bec Kovan to circuit road (temporary holding ) site, is not that far.

Did u ask the Sch bus operator in detail for breakdown, how they charge ?
Eg: if exceed by 10 km - what is the jump in charges like ?
If increase distance by between 5 km to 10 km - what is the charges like ?

Because some schools -
When parents fill up the School bus form application, some operator show you their charges, by distance breakdown, how much they charge.
Example
From your House to school

Distance : < 5 km : charge $x
Between 5 km to 10 km : charge $y
Exceed 10 km : $z
Exceed 15 km : $ a
Between 15 to 20 km : $b

When I ask why so ex, using my son’s $105 fare as my reference tho another Sch. They tried to justify that it’s v far from Kovan to Canossa, hence not ex. Didn’t give a justifiable explanation. Also thought I overheard that another parent is paying the same in fact more, I hv nothing to say.

All these Sch bus operator are turning themselves into monopoly.
Parents are at their mercy.

Kovan to canosa (whether is salim or temporary site at circuit rd) -
Travel down by upper PayA Lebar road, turn into Serangoon road, is near.

Did you ask -
Is it those small mini van, or those bigger tour bus ?
If mini can type, maximum how many kids capacity ?
Because if is small mini van, may be ex.
But if is big tour bus type, cannot be ex.

Is he the only Sch bus operator, for canosa ?

I’m staying at St.George’s Area, the distance from home to actual school site is 3.5km and to the holding site is 3.8km.


Tired to ask them but they didn’t manage to explain and asked me to paid for the require amount.

Yes, Granex Express is the appointed bus operator for the Sch. Indeed a monopoly! What can I do? Don’t take Sch bus? Also cannot.

3.5 km is very near!

$130 Sch bus fee is very ex.

Go and find out who is the operations admin manager, inside canossa convent primary. Or find out who is the one that decide who the school award the sch bus operator contract to. if nobody in the school know, then request to see principal.

Tell this admin manager or p that Sch bus is over-charging both of you. Ask this admin mgr to speak to the Sch bus operator. Tell the operator that parents are unhappy. If he not going to change to reasonable fees, propose to school to look for Another one.

But before you start approach school, find out exactly how far you are from school. Use this below :-

Now that I remember the following is the cost information for the student care: located at he original site, the student care fees is $250/ monthly during the registration you will need to paid $30/- for registration and $60/- for misc for the entire year.

Yes, I called the school. Found out tt another parent staying in a condo nearby my area also complained abt the bus fare. She’s also charged $210. Seems the principal is looking into the matter but so far I haven’t had any outcome.
