I am not going to assume the PSLE will be "difficult" in the future. Difficult or easy exam questions are very subjective. I support the school to nurture an holistic approach to learning and not to stress out my kid in sitting a so call "unique" or difficult examination and "kill" his brain cells at a very young age. I will rather him to achieve well in his university and attain good social skills. School in Singapore should focus more on play to learn than on academic drills. I still don’t get the point of the need to send our kids to school yet they need to attend Tuition! In my opinion, if my kid need to attend Tuition, the school teachers are not doing their job and they will need to answer to Tax Payer like me.

        the level is P2 - 2013.

the mark is the total of SA1 + SA2 + CA1(AA) +CA2(AA). the school has a formula to derive the final marks and percentage

well i understand your concern and perspective; that kids should play and learn at the same time. every child has its own ability and talent.

thinking that future PSLE will not be difficult is just a guess. setting easy exam paper will lead

            1. the child and parent into doing more assignment to avoid careless mistake.
            2. create a false impression that the child is very good " mum i got 92 for my SA1 why i still need to do so much assignment" .
            3. create a false impression for the teacher that the class is very good
            4. does not inspire the child to challenge himself.
            5. critical thinking and visualisation need to learn when they are young.

that does not meant that the questions have to be so difficult that half of the cohort fail the exam. the ex principle had benchmark the national level and request the teachers to set the exam accordingly ;even that is the case , CF is still the weakest among the 5 schools under SHHK clan.

By the way, with the T-score system in PSLE, MOE already manage the standard of the exam.

the cut off of the 2 top classes is around 91% / 273 . total around 75+ students (data gather by parent)

the school take away the mean , top and lowest score.

Is this for current P2? Could you care to elaborate? I am not able to understand the computation.

                TIA.

she/he means the cutoff score of top 2 classes of the next year P3 . 3 subjects percentage is 91%, total score is 273.

Out of curiosity, what are the indicators to indicate that every kid has high score in SA2?
