1. Cost
The 1st bus vendor charged us $127 per mth per child, 2way trip -Sengkang to Olgc in 2010.
A new vendor took over in end 2012 & quoted me $240 per child, 2way trip.
Total cost: $ 480 for my 2girls/ mth

2. Teacher
Form teacher used harsh words in my P2 dd's class \"blur like sotong\", \"stupid\", \"slow\"..etc.
Chn hv different levels of competencies. Some r just late bloomers esp d lower primary..

In addition, the admission officer & support staffs of OLN r much friendlier & helpful.

Is the school academic focussed or more on character building etc? Is the school and teaching environment nurturing for the girls?

My daughter will be in 1 Joy next year. The P1 orientation yesterday was well-organized and it was great that the girls were given the opportunity to try buy their own food from the canteen. 


What draws me to this school is the strong emphasis placed on character building. I visited the school during the open house in Jun13 and had positive vibes about the environment and this was reaffirmed at the orientation.

Anyone knows when will the school bus contact us? We filled up the transport form on admin day and no other details were given. I dun even know the school bus rate. Anyone can advice?

I’ve received the call from the school bus company on Monday evening, confirming the fees and the time they’ll pick up my dd. I was quoted $100 for 2-way (pick up from Sengkang and drop off at BASC after school). Pick up time for my dd is 6.30am. I was told there are a few buses catering to students staying in different parts of Sengkang.

Just received another call from school bus company to update me on the pick up point. They’ll be calling again in another 2 weeks’ time to remind parents on the details and confirm the school bus plate no. If your dd has signed up for ballet lessons on Weds and would need the school bus to bring her home after that, do let them know as well. I’m still waiting for them to confirm the additional rates for this.

I have also signed up for the school bus service on admin day however the bus vendor did not contact me too. Perhaps will just have to wait. Since 2 way is $100, I guess my rate will be $95 as my dd is only taking the school bus home.
