Maybe can consider ngee ann sec, tanjong katong sec, anglican high and chung cheng chung cheng high as well?Dear Parents,
My child got 241 in PSLE2013.
I would like to know which schools in East are good.
Among Dunman Secondary, St. Hilda's and Temasek which is better in terms of holistic development of child, character, confidence level and academics.
I am thinking of putting my choices as below, is that right order.
1. Victoria Junior
2. Dunman secondary
3. St.Hilda's
4. Temasek secondary
5. St. Joseph's institution (due to distance)
Victoria has a cutoff of 246. So if he cannot get into this, will he go automatically to option 2 Dunman?
Appreciate your URGENT replies since i have to decide by today.
THANKS.
Of the 3, i would place dunman and temasek ahead of st hilda's -
I missed out the Dunman open house. There is no open house for St Hilda’s. But then I went to the school for a look around. Talked to a student and parent and admin person there and they shared a fairly straight forward picture. Dunman from what I’ve heard is more competitive… all depends on what kind of lifestyle you want your child to have.

Hi all,
still not clear on below 3 questions…
why is there no comments on St.Hilda’s secondary? is it good or bad? in what way?

With 241 , shd try Chung CHENG or Anglican high . All express steam
St hilda not as good . students more rowdy . Chung CHENG affiliated to Nanyang JC . -
St Hilda students more rowdy? Would you mind sharing the source of how this was concluded? - thought of sending my son there.

My friend"s niece is from there. But if your son is there, he is likely to be one of the top students.
Another friend ‘s son got 238. Choosing Chung CHENG and Anglican high.
I will choose Chung Cheng. Affiliated to Nanyang JC as a backing , can cut 2 point off for entry to Nanyang JC. Currently the entry point is 8 point for Nanyang. The environment at Chung Cheng is better . I have a few friends’ children from there. Since your boy’s COp is 241, should try a better school.
Another friend 's child got 21x and stay around there don’t wish to consider the st hilda. The school is good for primary but not secondary. -

I'm also looking at school nearer to home. Since I'm at Pasir ris, Chung cheng and Anglican high may be far, right? or is it not? Please let me know
How is Dunman secondary? It is a neighbourhood school, so does not look fancy but many say it is a good school? Can you please advice.. -
To add on, I am looking for a school with Tamil mother tongue.
Thanks
