      Hi,

I guess we have heard so much about this show-offs that we will try to stay miles away from them. Very sickening to hear their rubbish.

Someone told me, ‘Have I told you I rub shoulders with Zoe Tay at St James Kindergarten?’ I replied, ‘Yes you have told me that many times, no need to repeat.’

This is really a reflection of that person's shallowness.

Honestly if she rubs shoulders with Zoe, there is no big deal, any fans of hers would want to do that...
But if Zoe wants to rub shoulders with her, then I think she has something to brag about. Still unless seen with own eyes....it will still be taken with a pinch of salt.

Net is what is the big deal, they are also humans. Honestly if I am friends with any celebrities, I won't tell on my friends, privacy to them is so important.

Hahaha, I think like you too.

I always tell people, what is there to be big deal in rubbing shoulder with so and so, they also have got two eyes two hands...just like a normal beings, what so big deal....For rub zoe tay this case, guess this person who speak this way has not much things to boast...and this is the biggest that he or she has....aiyo...

I steer very clear away from people who are showy and usually those that are neither up nor down kind of people are those that talked very very big...that is just one of my observation.

Err...am i dumb or what...i dont get this \"palindrome\" thingi....!

Anyway, as this is a \"bragging\" thread rite...so here's a joke to share:

An old Italian woman is riding the elevator in a very lavish New York City Office Building. A young and beautiful woman gets into the elevator and smelling like expensive perfume turns to the old Italian woman and says arrogantly, \"Giorgio - Beverly Hills, $100 an ounce!\"

The next young and beautiful woman gets on the elevator and also very arrogantly turns to the old Italian woman and says, \"Channel No. 5, $150 an ounce!\"

About three floors later, the old Italian woman has reached her destination and is about to get off the elevator. Before she leaves, looks both beautiful women in the eye, bends over, and lets out a most foul-smelling fart. She leaves the stunned women in a cloud of funk, saying \"Broccoli - 49 cents a pound.\"
                Westmom .... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Today is gonna be a good day for me. Cuz it started out with laughter!!! 😄

                  Honestly,

Am tired of listening to this (from pple I know). Know a few pple whose kids are in St James. And the kids are there cuz not only Zoe Tay, but a few other celebrities' kids are there. One parent even boasted that the so and so's (celebrities') kids had attended their kid's bday celebration  😄

I have not contributed because too many examples lah. Most common one is what kind of property you staying in. Then, its the type of pre-sch toddler going to, then not only where have you been for hols BUT also which hotel did you stay in :!:

We were thinking of moving - into landed property. Now we are all the more determined not to. MRT just came up which is 2 mins away, new huge shopping mall gonna be ready by end of the yr etc ... 15 mins to ILs hse.

If we do, we will retain the flat or sell w/i the family. As DH once said - he's the only senior mgt level personnel living in HDB in his dept.

BTW, this HDB flat has allowed us to remain debt-free in many aspects. Unlike my peers, who are struggling to maintain payments cuz they rushed into purchasing to keep up with the joneses (hope spelling is correct) 😄

How to deal with them?? Just go \"really ah\" in my most sweetest tone. Then \"OIC\", then \"eh, you know, can you find good seafood mee goreng like 5 mins from your landed property (or condo)? Or to shock them even more, I tell them \"eh, the busstop is like 2 mins away ya know - can go TP, AMK, Bishan like in 15 mins\" (even though I drive) ha ha ha.

To each his own lah ...

Celebrities are humans too. It’s really no big deal to have a kid in the same school/class as them. Several celebrities have kids in St James.

I got fed-up with this person and the way she talks…so I tell her straight. ‘You have repeated several times.’ :x
Recently she asked me if my son’s tutor is the inspiring type bcos she wants to find another tutor for him. I told her my son’s tutor is the motherly sort, and inspiring son to study is the mother’s job, NOT the tutor.
