actually, no need to buy the small plastic covers. since you bought, you can ask your DD to help you to put them into the plastic covers.

One more question about shoes: just about any white canvas shoes? Can they be with shoelaces/ velcro straps/ 70% white, leather varieties?

Yes,it can be any white canvas shoes.They can be with shoelaces or Velcro straps but 90% should be white.Unless your child is having a Sport CCA like Netball,Basketball etc,she can wear her sport shoe to school but most of the ppl who wear sport shoes,theirs are like silver/black/red/blue/white.I suggest your child not to wear colourful sport shoe(lots of pink/lots of green etc) to school if she needs to wear them.I think your child would prefer Velcro shoes when she's only in P1,P2,its easier :imcool: I only seen P5,P6 wearing shoes wif shoelaces.
PS.Normally the shoes that are 90% white are Converse,North-Star those kind of Sneakers.They have black/red/grey racing stripes on their shoes and those are acceptable :xedfingers: Leather shoes are acceptable but they should be at least 90% white.

I accompanied my dd to collect her psle results yesterday. First of all, I would like to congratulate RGPS for the overall good results. From the information available to me, I think RGPS top t score is 275 by a Chinese student and a Malay student scored 270. These 2 scores could well be the top Chinese and Malay students scores respectively nation wide! To top it all, close to 49% of the students score at least 250 or more.


My dd had done well in the psle. I cant thank every teachers individually but as parent I would like to place on record my sincere thanks and gratitude to all staff at RGPS for guiding and moulding my dd for the past 3 years. From my experience, the teachers are interested in the development of the student. As a busy parent, I was happy when the teacher called to tell me the progress of my dd and offered pointers for improvement.

Again, I congratulate RGPS for the achievement. Well done and may the school continue to mould and help all its students to develope and realise their full potential!

Tats what the handbook stated but its not entirely true...My classmates aways take out their phones in the class and sometimes secretly SMS r go FB during class :siao: Many of them play,listen,whatsapp with their phone b4 assembly in the morning and I even saw a group of pupils playing wif their phones in the parade square(everyday) After PSLE,many of them took their phones out and did whatever they like whole day long...Your child can bring her phone but its mainly the P6 ppl who kept playing wif their phones :nosebleed:

Yes.The name tags should be black base with white wordings for P1 next year.You don't have to sew the name tags on their PE attire,just the pinafore will do.Your child can just wear white socks but if you don't mind spending money,you can get the RGPS socks from the bookshop.She can also wear the white socks with the sport brand names like adidas,nike,reebok etc :xedfingers:
