      Harlequin:
After she started playing tennis, things got worse, she literally scratches herself bleeding.... Then we brought her for another allergy test, this time, it turned out to be she is allergic to her own perspiration :faint: ... (that's no way to avoid sweating.)

A few years ago, I had very bad flare up during the hot months that I had to ask the doctor for steroids injection. Realised that some of my T-shirts were not 100% cotton. I threw all those away and bought new ones which are 100% cotton. After which, I suffered once a year during the very hot months. Now the condition sometimes come back, but severity is definitely lesser, no need for steroid injection, topical cream is able to rid the condition.

My sister has very bad eczema. She uses natural products, goes on an organic diet, almost no meat, only takes fish. If I am not wrong, she also avoids diary product. Her condition has improved substantially with the lifestyle change as well as relocating to the UK. The cooler weather also seems to help.

A friend’s kid’s condition improved after switching to alkaline water as well as wearing clothes infused with negative ions. They opted for alternative therapy as the skin is thinning from the steriod cream.

A family member’s condition improved after using La Mer.

Now that you mention it, it strikes me that my kids have less rashes (even on very hot days) when they take manuka honey. But experience a flare-up when they take raw honey.

My two gals suffered from eczema but the remedy for them is totally different. Some worked on both of them while some worked on one but not the other. Rice water is a cheap and good way to help reduce eczema flare ups.

Also, i had brewed sea horse & sea dragon for my #2. It does help but the sea horse is expensive and tough to get in Singapore.

my son has eczema… saw doc and was told to put moisturiser right after bath when body is still a bit wet after towel dry.

skin is indeed getting better now.

I never used to have it, so I thought it was normal rash until doctor told me I have eczema on my fingers triggered by constant exposure to washing detergents.

It comes back every time it seems to heal when I finishes the ointment prescribed. Was told to use gloves for washing purpose to minimize exposure, but can someone recommend a dishwashing detergent that is not too harmful? I am currently using UIC.
                  Thanks!

I have on-and-off eczema, and have found this dishwashing liquid mild enough: http://envizyme.com.sg/dishwashing-liquid/.
It's a local product. Not sure if regular NTUC carries it; I get mine from Finest.

I have a family member who takes this too and it works. Now very mild, used to be so bad that they turn into weeping sores.
