Hi Parents, is any of ur child in Pei Tong P1 care 7 next year. My son will be joining this class we can share more info irregardless of home works or activities.

FYI I’ve a girl in Pei Tong and promoted to P5 next year, personally I feel their teachers are always there for us, they will always response to our message via email or SMS. The only set back as mentioned by 1 parent is the food which is quite pricey.

Think their top score was 263 or 265.

                  Jakaranda:
                  Hi Parents,

I'm an ex-student of PTPS, I came to Singapore when I was P2, and entered PT. PT is school that allows for development in it's student's personality, that is, they do not force those values -- care, responsibility, resilience, independence, integrity, etc.-- into us, but instead they influence us with those values. For example, my English teacher, Mrs Tan (or Mdm Chen Chai Kim) showed her trust to us by letting us keep the answer key of our exercise books.

PT is a school that provides the necessary materials for us to study. Surely all the basic knowledge is taught in school, but we can always dive deeper and just ask a few \"deeper\" questions during or after class (usually happens during Science). Teachers are always willing to teach us beyond our module, but we can choose whether to listen or not to. For example, we can request for additional supplementary classes (but I think anyone who does that will be murdered by his classmates...and this probably applies in every primary school).

I was in 3F, 4F and 5F, which were the best class of our level. However, students are only sorted by their results and learning ability. In this school, not having a good start is completely unrelated to what you achieve by the end of P6. It is never to late to start working hard, as teachers and classmates are always willing to provide help. Teachers, regardless what the class, are always willing to give their best, and there is no difference in what is taught (unless it's a foundation class).

Also, PTPS promotes racial harmony. PT is a school with a shocking number of races. In my class, there were Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Burmese, Bengali, Korean, Filipino... We usually converse in English, but sometimes we use our own mother tongue language.

PTers have very unique personalities, and we have different values in our hearts. One may value passion over responsibility but another may do the opposite. Therefore, sometimes students conflict and disagree with each other. Even I had some major conflicts with my friends. For me, I chose to take matters into our own hands. I developed my problem solving and interpersonal skills greatly, and grew up in PT knowing that we have to take care of our own problems, and bear the consequences of our actions. In other words, responsibility. This is unique of any primary school I have attended.
                  Hi Jakaranda
I am thinking about transfering my kids to Pei Tong after reading your posting.
I am also reading the forum at Nan Hua pri school and saw this thread that you are also Nan Hua pri school student. Did you transfer to Nan Hua because of Gep?
I am just curious because based on what you had written on PTPS forum and NHPS forum, you were a student with PT until p5, so why you could be NHPS student at the same time?

                    Hi,

I am a "new" parent whose first child will be entering primary one next year, and hopefully, she can get into Pei Tong. Now, in addition to the worry about her being able to get into Pei Tong, I have to worry about looking for an after school care centre for her. Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone tried enrolling your child into Pei Tong care centre, which I would much prefer since she would not need to travel at all. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Pei Tong has a Gold Science Olympiad Winner as announced on their Facebook page today. The Principal has also been awarded a bronze medal for Public Administration for this year National Day. Very proud of this school. The teachers do care for the kids.
