Candy Candy:
I was told that in order to register for P1 in CHIJ St Nicholas, one of the parents need to be Chinese and that my daughter needs to be fluent in Chinese...anyone can confirm this?
i've spoken to a non-chinese mom who is also non-conversant in mandarin.
she told me that her dd took chinese during kindergarten thus was able to register at this school. to cope with homework, her dd was send for tuition. -

Thank you all. It really helped me.
Now I need to decide between CHIJ St. Nicolas, SCGS, MGS. SInce I didn’t grow up here, I have no idea, besides some top ranking list, why choose one or the other…please tell me your experiences in those schools to help me a little bit with this Big step for P1.
Thanks!!! -
Hi! Everyone here are St Nicks mums? I’m an ex-St Nicks and will be sending my elder gal there for P1 next yr. Anyone of you do not stay within YCK/AMK area and commute to St Nicks? I stay in CCK, did a mock drive (by car) last week to the sch in morning. Journey turns out to be smooth - 20 min+. Any advice from seasoned mums of St Nicks whether there are any concerns of such commuting which I overlook?

Hi Candy Candy
Where are you residing? These schools are sought after and balloting is usually required for phase 2C . Are you Singaporean or foreigner?Candy Candy:

Anyone knows when will P3 Choir CCA start? Which day and what time will it be? Thanks.

hi Sachiko, we are PRs and Catholic, so we are under phase 2B por St. Nick and 2C for the rest. Thinking on moving close to school to be under 1km. First need to decide on school in order to move close to it. So difficult to decide…need some feedback about schools and what is the experience of some parents having kids on those schools. THanks!!

Hi, can anyone advise how’s the ‘stress’ level in P1 & subsequent years? Do they have lots of homework? What sort of teachers do they have?
thnks -

Hi, riding on candy candy's request, my DD has a choice of either SNGS or my sons' school. Still deciding. If you have feedback on SNGS, would appreciate it too.
