How to Get to Know More About School from my Child
-
Andaiz,
I mean her class teacher has setup a blog for parents to find out what is happening in class
I think that writing one or two sentences in Chinese everyday is much better than attending any Chinese creative writing classes

My girl told me that one boy said he has 100 girl friends :!: He is certainly not the type of kids that I want my girl to mix with.
She may say, today Raymond bent down to touch his knees and we saw
his yellow underpants and laughed. -
Thanks for the clarifcation on the blog. Very good method!
With regards to the Chinese sentences, it probably gives the child great satisfaction to be able to communicate what is important to her! Sure beats creative writing classes! -
I personally feel that making an effort to remember their friend’s names, happenings, hobbies, characters … can help to open up more conversation. And this also proves to them, we care for all the happenings revolving them.

Talking about friends, I bought this book for my girl to prepare her for P1 :
Friends: Making Them & Keeping Them

My girl loves it. The pictures are lovely. It is a very good book teaching girls how to make new friends, and how to maintain a good relationship with friends. I think adults can benefit from reading this book too
The reading level is for age 9 to 12, parents can read to the kids if they cannot read at this level yet. -
